What to do if you lost your job: wise advice. What to do with a mortgage if you lose your job

Losing a job is one of the ten most stressful situations. Everyone is afraid of this, and it is clear why: having become unemployed, a person faces the problem of survival face to face. How to overcome the neurosis of unemployment and get out of this crisis?

This too shall pass

Fear and anxiety in transitional moments of life arise in every person - this is understandable. Why are we afraid of losing our jobs? Because we become vulnerable. But the way a suddenly unemployed person usually behaves is ineffective. For example, he plunges into endless fantasies on the topic “If only ...” Or he leads internal disputes and battles with a former boss. Or scolds difficult times, the country, the authorities ...

ADVICE: in order to calm down and begin to act with maximum efficiency, repeat like a mantra: “These experiences will not last forever. will come better times". And believe it.

Calm down, mom!

Today we change jobs more often than our parents ever did. Firms break up, management changes, demands grow - all this pushes a large number of people to look for new jobs. It is no coincidence that we remembered our parents. It is they who often fuel our fear of losing a job or finding a new one. You and your husband can live completely independently, but when the news spreads among relatives that “Ivan Vasilyevich is changing his profession,” the elders react painfully.

ADVICE: tell your family that you appreciate their concern, and ask them not to escalate the situation. You have already dealt with similar difficulties and you can take care of yourself this time.

Looking for a tailwind

Personnel officers have an unspoken rule: you need to hire those who want to do it. Pay attention, WANTS TO PERFORM! Remember with what interest and ease we take on any business when we want it. Maybe a period of unemployment is a time to think about what your soul lies in?

ADVICE: Find a job that you really want to do. And start moving towards your desires. Otherwise, as one of the great people said, not a single wind will be favorable for you.

Lifesaver

Women in difficult situations often turn to psychological literature than men, and this turns out to be a lifesaver. Unfortunately, for many men, reading the relevant book is tantamount to admitting their weakness.

ADVICE: find and read recommendations on how to better prepare for an interview, how to write a resume, study job search methods offered by specialists. And then tell your husband about everything. Not as an edification - just share what you read. He will definitely draw his own conclusions.

How much is the seller

When the problem of finding a job arises, we turn, excuse me, into a commodity, the cost of which depends on many factors. And last but not least, how realistic we are about ourselves. Left without a job, especially not of their own free will, people often agree to everything - simply out of fear of tomorrow. Those who do not fuss often get jobs that they did not even count on.

ADVICE: do your own research on how much people in your profession generally get paid. Think about what else you need to learn in order to qualify for more money than before.

How can you suddenly lose your job? What to do in this case? How to pass an interview? Our consultant advises a member of the professional psychological club Dobrobabenko Elena Vladimirovna.

How do we lose our jobs?

There are many more options than you might think.

Firstly, this is a reduction, it happens as a result of problems, both of your enterprise and, as the notorious August showed, of the whole state. In the first case, of course, it will be easier for you, since for sure you will be in demand in another organization in a similar place. In the second case, a lot of people will be looking for a job in your specialty, but self-confidence will help you stand out at an interview among others who have little faith that they will be noticed against the backdrop of general unemployment.

You lose your job if you yourself leave it for a reason: dissatisfaction

low salary, bad relationships in the team, inconsistencies of the place with your expectations, lack of career growth, etc. This is the best option, since a woman who has found the strength in herself for such an act will most likely find them to look for a new, more suitable job. Of course, the above does not apply to people who chronically fail to cope with their duties anywhere and are in an eternal search.

It is not uncommon in our time to leave work due to existing or not love relationship. In this case, the woman either goes to a new family or runs away because of the impossibility of working further with "this man". In the first option, a woman does not need work - she leaves just in order to devote herself to her husband (the question of how reasonable this is does not apply to our topic today). In the second option, the pain of losing a loved one is mixed with despair from the lack of work. My advice to you in the above situation is to immediately start looking for a new job. Just remember, your task is not to "urgently find some kind of job", but to find yourself appropriate place where you would be interested in working.

You can lose a job without ever having one. It happens in the following way. The girl studies, or raises children, or earns extra money for pleasure, believing that when she needs to, she will immediately find a decent job. But there comes a time when you need to look for a job, but it doesn’t work out very well. Believe me, the confusion in this situation is no less strong than in the event of a job loss. In this situation, it can be useful to “lower the bar”, that is, agree, for example, to a less prestigious job, or less paid, but with the possibility of career growth.

It is not uncommon to lose a job at the time of postpartum leave or maternity leave. Moreover, this may also affect civil servants, the personnel department will obediently meet the deadline, but after waiting for the third birthday of your child, they will ask you to quit. What can we say about work under a contract or without it at all - you lose your job without even reaching the maternity hospital. But do not despair, you have become a mother - it means that you have become wiser and more reasonable, perhaps your previous work is no longer for you, and besides, the schedule of your past work was not suitable for your current life and the baby that needs attention. Look for something more realistic, perhaps a home job, or a job with a flexible schedule or shorter hours.

The most unpleasant situation associated with the loss of a job is if you are kicked out for a real offense. Does not complement the optimism and the record of dismissal in your work book. This situation in terms of mental trauma for a woman is similar to a divorce. Well then, the same advice applies: Connect with people, don't withdraw into yourself, buy a new suit and good makeup, and START LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB.

You are out of work. What to do.

1. Do not perceive the loss of your job as the collapse of your whole life or at least a career.

2. Dedicate one day to pleasure yourself buy a new suit, soak in the bath, sleep, have a full meal

3. Use the time when you are free from work to fulfill your debts, such as going to the housing office, dismantling the mezzanine, visiting a friend, preparing a super dinner for your husband, visiting the dentist, playing with children.

4. Do not tune in to the fact that work will be found immediately. Prepare for a thoughtful search for the right job for you. But do not delay too much with the beginning of the search.

5. Do not get your friends asking for help in finding a job, it is better to contact different recruiting agencies, you should not be charged money for employment.

What do you need to get hired as soon as possible?

Decide what you want and what you can. In any business, and even in such a job search, the main thing is to clearly know your goal.

Based on this, make a competent resume. Going for an interview at a recruitment agency or directly to the employer, observe the following rules.

1. When dressing, remember that you are going to an interview, and not to search for a new husband. Even if the personnel officer likes you madly, as a woman he will invite you to dinner, and not to a vacant position.

2. Don't lie about your marital status. Neither a married nor, on the contrary, a free lady gains additional points, but if a fraud is revealed during an elementary check, then it is unlikely that you will be hired. Also don't talk about family life overly emotional, i.e. with longing in your voice or with sadness to talk about the presence or vice versa the absence of a husband.

3. You can't lie about children either. However, if you are not asked, it is not at all necessary to report the age of the child, talk about the presence of a nanny and all the necessary vaccinations for the baby.

4. Statistical studies show that 70 percent of all

We receive information about a person in the first 10 seconds, and then it is quite difficult for us to change our mind. Take advantage of this: smile when entering the office, say hello politely.

5. Don't forget about cleanliness and smells, don't overdo perfume and nail polish color.

And finally, the most important thing!

Work is not a wolf - it will not come running by itself)

Every employee is at risk of being unemployed. There are many reasons for this: a conflict with superiors, intrigues of careerists, bankruptcy of an enterprise, and many others. As practice shows, even the most qualified specialist does not have 100% confidence in his professional future.

In case this happened to you, I suggest that you read the following tips from the category of “what to do” in order to find a new job as soon as possible, and even with much better working conditions.

Change of world view

To get the most out of your "temporary vacation", look at the situation from a different angle. After all, this period is a great chance to give yourself the opportunity to deal with your own desires. Think about the fact that you might like to prove yourself in another area, in addition, you may have skills that you once acquired a long time ago and would like to develop them.

If you want to continue working in the area where you worked before, consider retraining or acquiring additional qualifications. For example, specialists are now in demand who, in addition to specialized knowledge, have knowledge of a foreign language or are professionally proficient in specialized computer programs.

In addition, think about the possibilities of realizing your prospects in a new city or even abroad.

The ultimate task of this stage, based on your dialogue with your preferences and desires, is to set a specific goal for yourself and be sure to write it down on paper. Only thanks to this, your dreams will get a chance to be realized, and will not “drown” in the mental chaos of our everyday thoughts.

Don't shut yourself up, keep talking

Being unemployed means not only a reassessment of internal values, it is also a test for your environment. There is a risk that you will begin to avoid communication with acquaintances and friends, perhaps this does not apply to you, but often the unemployed person lowers his social status in his own eyes and considers himself, as it were, “unworthy” of the company of more successful friends.

Avoid looking at the problem in this way, make sure you mentally feel in a “working rut” and feel in working shape. With regard to acquaintances, take the initiative yourself, continue to communicate with former colleagues, make appointments with old acquaintances, later such contacts can greatly help you move forward.

Do not give yourself "weakness", keep the working rhythm

Each person is subject to the temptations of laziness and, if you do not pull yourself together in time, you can very quickly acquire a stable state of apathy and indifference. Not only does such a state not contribute to an effective job search, in addition to this, if you are lucky to find a job, it will be very, very difficult for you to return to your working form again. To prevent this from happening, try to maintain the working rhythm of workdays during the forced free day.

For example, stick to the following schedule: get up in the morning on weekdays at your usual work time, do physical exercises that you can do with pleasure, cook food, make phone calls to vacancies that you found on the Internet or city newspapers, prepare and send out your resume . Read more about that at the link.

In addition, you can do a general cleaning, take things apart in closets, take a walk with the children, make appointments with necessary acquaintances, attend advanced training courses, etc.

Try to constantly expand the scope of your responsibilities.

Most importantly, do not waste time looking for "miraculous recipes" job search is the same job, and therefore it is necessary to treat this process with the same seriousness as a real job.

May 21 is the All-Russian Day of Protection from Unemployment. AiF.ru has prepared a memo with tips on what to do if you are left without a job.

According to the latest data from Rosstat, the unemployment rate in Russia in March 2014 decreased by 0.2% and amounted to 5.4% of the economically active population. The total number of unemployed compatriots is 4.024 million people. In 2012–2013 The average unemployment rate in Russia was 5.5%, which is the lowest in the last thirteen years. For comparison: in the crisis year of 2009, 6 million citizens (8.3%) were considered unemployed. However, according to some experts, Rosstat data do not fully reflect the picture of employment, and the overall unemployment rate may exceed the official statistics by one and a half to two times.

What to do if you are unemployed? What is the benefit for the unemployed? How long can you stand at the labor exchange? AiF.ru asked these and other questions to the experts.

What to do if you are unemployed?

If you are unemployed, first of all you need to register with the employment authorities (at the labor exchange) at the place of your registration. There you will not only be helped to find a job, but will also be sent to vocational training, advanced training courses, and completely free of charge.

Registration with the employment authorities does not prohibit looking for a job on your own: posting resumes on specialized sites or contacting recruitment agencies. What documents are needed in order to join the labor exchange?

To register as unemployed, you need to provide a passport (or a document replacing it) to the employment center. Citizens belonging to the category of disabled people must be provided with an individual rehabilitation program.

“You will also need documents on education and professional qualifications (certificate, diploma), employment history, certificate of average salary for three months from the last place of work, certificate of average salary for three months from the last place of work. It is worth noting that this is not a standard form of 2-personal income tax. This certificate is filled out according to a special form, a sample of which can be taken from the Employment Center or downloaded from the website of the Department of Labor and Employment of the City of Moscow: trud.mos.ru,” explains Andrey Eliseev, editor-in-chief of the Rabota.ru recruiting portal.

Directly at the labor exchange, you will need to fill out an application form.

What allowance is due to whom?

The amount of unemployment benefits depends on how much time has passed since the moment of dismissal and how long you worked full-time before leaving your job. You should join the labor exchange within 14 calendar days from the date of dismissal.

In 2014, the minimum allowance was set at 850 rubles, the maximum - 4900 rubles.

“In theory, the amount of the benefit is calculated based on the percentage of the average earnings for the last three months at the last place of work. In the first year of being on the exchange, an unemployed applicant can apply: in the first three months - 75% of the average salary, in the next four - 60%, the remaining five months - 45% of the average salary. But since, in any case, his allowance should be within the boundaries between the minimum and maximum, the candidate will not receive more than the allotted 4900, even if his salary was under one hundred thousand rubles at his last job, ”emphasizes Alexandra Gross.

Previously unemployed citizens, as well as applicants who want to return to work after more than a year's break from work, can count on the minimum amount of benefits. In addition, an allowance of 850 rubles is due to those dismissed for violation of labor discipline, dismissed for any reason within 12 months before the onset of unemployment and who had paid work for less than 26 weeks.

“The amount of unemployment benefit can be reduced by 25 percent for up to one month in the following cases: failure to appear without good reason for negotiations on employment with the employer within three days from the date of referral by the employment service; refusal, without good reason, to appear at the employment service to receive a job referral (training),” emphasizes Valentina Mitrofanova, Director General of the Institute of Professional Personnel Officer.

How many months can you stand on the labor exchange?

According to Russian law, you can be registered with the employment authorities as long as you like. Only the period of payment of benefits is limited. Each payment period cannot be more than 12 months in cumulative terms within 18 calendar months.

An unemployed person is removed from the register in the following cases: when finding employment; after completing vocational training or receiving additional vocational education (in the direction of the employment service) with the payment of a scholarship; prolonged absence (more than a month) from the labor exchange without good reason; moving to another region. When trying to receive benefits fraudulently, a citizen is also removed from the labor exchange. “In addition, deregistration is possible if a person receiving unemployment benefits is sentenced to corrective labor, as well as to imprisonment. As well as the appointment of a pension, including the early appointment of an old-age labor pension, ”says Mitrofanova.

If you refuse a job offered by the employment authorities twice, your benefits may be suspended for 3 months.

What should the unemployed not do?

Some actions of a citizen registered as unemployed may lead to the fact that the payment of unemployment benefits will be suspended for up to three months. If you are registered with the employment authorities, you cannot:

refuse after a three-month period of unemployment from participating in paid public works or from sending for training by the employment service of citizens who are looking for a job for the first time (previously not working) and at the same time do not have qualifications, seeking to resume their labor activity after a long (more than one year) break;

appear for re-registration in a state of intoxication caused by the use of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances;

violate, without good reason, the conditions and terms of re-registration as unemployed.

What are the benefits of being officially unemployed?

In addition to assistance in finding a job and receiving benefits, an unemployed citizen has the right to:

free consultations,

free access to information and services related to vocational guidance, in order to choose the field of activity (profession), employment,

free receipt of services to assist in moving and resettlement to another area for employment,

psychological support,

vocational training and additional vocational education in the direction of the employment service.

"Arguments and Facts"

When applying for a loan, many borrowers do not think about how they will repay the debt in the event of an unexpected job loss or serious illness. But such a situation threatens any person very big problems. How to act in such a situation?

What to do if you are unable to repay the loan due to job loss?

The most important thing that needs to be done by a citizen who has lost his job or another source of income is to notify the credit banking organization in which the loan was received about financial difficulties. Banks issue loans for several years and hope for a regular flow of funds. Therefore, the situation when the borrower loses his job in the most disadvantageous way affects the creditor bank itself. That is why the borrower should immediately report a change in his financial situation. But many people who find themselves without work begin to hide from credit organizations and skip monthly payments, naively believing that this is a way out of the situation.

There are several options for solving the problem when the source of income is lost and the loan is not repaid. The first is to ask the credit institution to provide the so-called vacation. During the loan holiday, the borrower is released from paying the debt. And at desire and an opportunity can pay only percent. The main point of such a delay is that during this break the borrower will be able to find a new source of income and will be able to repay the loan according to the previous scheme. Of course, obtaining such a deferment will only help those borrowers who are confident that they will find work in the near future.

The second way is to apply to a credit institution with a request to restructure the loan. Restructuring is any change in the loan agreement. Subject to change: credit conditions, interest rate and term of the loan. If the client asks the lender to restructure the loan, then the bank is likely to meet him halfway: he can suspend penalties, provide the client with credit holidays and extend the loan period. It should be emphasized that restructuring is an excellent opportunity to maintain a good credit history.

What to do when you have to pay a mortgage, but there is no work?

First, you can sell the mortgaged property to repay most of the debt. You can not sell, but simply rent out an apartment. The money received from the rental of housing can be used to pay monthly payments. But it should be remembered that it is possible to rent out real estate only after obtaining permission from a banking organization, because a mortgaged apartment is collateral property and all actions performed with it must be agreed with the creditor bank.

Secondly, you can resort to the help of the state - the borrower needs to apply to the agency that deals with mortgage lending.

And the last thing: it should be remembered that if there is a possibility of a change in your financial situation in a negative direction, then you need to carefully consider all actions in order to prevent late payments, fines and, in the worst case, the bank going to court.
