Jesus is the son of Yahweh or God Most High. Christ is the true god of yahweh

2. The secondary nature of hosts, Yahweh, Jehovah and the Prince of this World

The three highest universal spirits gradually realized their role in the Universe, stopped their atheistic activity and became holy spirits. These spirits are Hosts, Yahweh and Jehovah. But the fourth lower spirit, which is called the devil or the Prince of this World, by its universal nature cannot become a saint, but always, as long as it exists, will create iniquity and be a God-fighter. The reason for this property is that the devil combines the unreasonable power of the original universal spirits, continuously generated by matter itself and spiritual quanta infected with anti-divine information, which are practically spiritual waste of the universal material life creation.

The Devil and the Prince of this World are identical names for the managing creative center, which leads the legions of satanic-demonic spirits of the lower spiritual hierarchy. The word "devil" was used by Jesus Christ when he spoke about the essence of a real, and not a virtual spirit, which is a "manslayer from the beginning" and "the father of lies." That is why I consider it reasonable to apply in this work in relation to the creative manager spiritual center by the lower universal spirits both of these names.

While the earthly humanity of the first three races was holy and sinless, the devil received spiritual quanta of anti-divine information from the three highest universal spirits of Hosts, Yahweh and Jehovah. At the beginning of the creation of the Universe, these spirits were also sinful and unclean. As matter left the center of the Universe and the centers of galaxies, many angelic spirits carried out an internal purge of the universal spirits, known as the "war in heaven", and cast the impure fractions of the spirit into the firmament of planetary bodies and their satellites, closer to the lowest, first the level of the divine spirit, which is concentrated in the centers of the planets. The satellites of the planets are also repositories of unclean spirits, but their composition is less energetic and more intelligent; in practice, these spirits make up the lower part of the spirit of Jehovah. The spiritual abode of Jehovah is the Moon and the common mobile center of gravity of the Earth-Moon system, which is located inside the volume of the globe, approximately two thousand kilometers from the earth's surface. There is no cellular life on Mars in our time, but it was and flourished. However, after the Martian Apocalypse, the Heavenly Father removed the quanta of the divine spirit from the surface of Mars, and cellular life ceased on its own. But this does not mean that the Martian lower spirit completely mentally and spiritually collapsed and self-destructed.

All these undivine experiments are doomed to total failure. A person can remain a living person only when three seeds of creative spirits are placed in his human soul, which have reached a certain level of knowledge and creative power. For some time now, the diabolical spirit of the Prince of this World has also received the right to place its spiritual seed in the human soul. However, the seed of the devil is able to be present in the soul of a living person only if there are two other seeds of those spirits that have received the right to bestow human soul with their spiritual seeds in the course of human history from Adam and Eve to our present day. Such spirits are Hosts, Yahweh and Jehovah. In short, if the spiritual seed of the devil enters the soul of a person, then it is always under the control of more perfect spiritual seeds.

This selection of quotations from the Holy Scriptures is intended to show that Christ is Yahweh (Jehovah) incarnate.

In communication with representatives of Jehovah's Witnesses, the question of the divinity of Christ and the use of the name of God "Jehovah" is very often raised.

For Orthodox Christian the idea that Jesus Christ is the true God and Creator of the world is self-evident. However, for an adherent of Jehovah's Witnesses, Jesus Christ is an angel, "god" and "lord" who came to earth, but at the same time only a creation of Jehovah.

At the same time, it seems to us that it is inappropriate to argue about the terms "God" and "Lord". To all our arguments, the Jehovah's Witnesses will have counterarguments, because just like in the days of the First Ecumenical Council the Arians sought out scriptures to support their heresy.

Let's try to figure it out: what's the matter here?

To begin with, let us turn to the usual argumentation of Christians in favor of the divinity of the Son of God in order to understand the logic of the reasoning of the adherents of Jehovah's Witnesses and offer them arguments that take into account their perception of our words.

The texts of the Scriptures contain a sufficient number of indications that allow one to conclude that Jesus Christ is indeed the true God. These include the so-called. "a parade of titles" characterizing Him as the Son of God, the Lord and even God. However, we should not forget that during the earthly life of Jesus Christ, these concepts did not refer unequivocally to the true God, but had a wide range of meanings, the lower edge of which could apply even to ordinary people.

In particular, Jewish and pagan thought could well admit that a good or great person may be called the son of God, and in both societies the expression "Son of God" could imply Divinity.

An orthodox Jew during the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ realized that "there are so-called gods ... since there are many gods and many lords" (1 Cor. 8:5), however, the basis of his faith was that "there is no other God but One" (1 Cor. 8:4). This God revealed Himself in the Old Testament with the unique name of Yahweh, which (in contrast to the titles "God", "Adonai=Lord", etc.) belonged only to the true, Existing God, in comparison with which "all the gods of the peoples are idols "(Ps. 95:5).

In the same way, the Greek word Κυριος (Lord/master) could mean a whole range of degrees of dignity - from a respectful form of address to a teacher or judge to the title of God Himself. Indeed, in Col. 4:1 this term is referred to God and right there to people: "Lords (κυριοι), do justice to your servants, knowing that you also have a Lord (κυριον) in heaven." In the texts of the New Testament, Christ is called Lord about 663 times, but what part of this range of meanings was meant?

Much less often, Christ is directly called God in Scripture, which can be explained by the desire to distinguish Persons in the Trinity: "God" was usually called the Father, just as the title "Lord" more often referred to Jesus Christ: "we have one God the Father ... and one Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 8:6). Here we should also note the confession of Thomas, who for the first time called the Risen One Lord and God (John 20:28), as well as such names of Jesus Christ as "true God" (1 John 5:20), "great God" (Tit. 2:13 ), "Mighty God" (Is. 9:6), or shortly "God" (Heb.1:8), "Our God" (2 Pet.1:1), "God" (Eph.5:5, John 1:1) According to the Apostle Paul, "all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ" (Col. 2:9).

As can be seen from In. (10:34-36), this title (God) could refer to various spiritual beings, and even to people with power and power, for the words El, Eloah and Elohim, usually translated as "God", literally mean "Mighty" or "Worthy of worship." In the same way, the ancient Greek word Θεος can denote the one Existing God, a certain god, or express general concept about the deity.

For this reason, it is not sufficient for our argument to show the doubters that in Scripture the Son of God is called "God" and "Lord." It is more useful to cite the indications of the Scriptures that the Logos has the nature of the Old Testament Yahweh, and this Name can be used in relation to Christ.

For example, if you look at any Orthodox canonical icon of the Savior, you can see that the name of God "Yahweh" is inscribed on the cross-shaped nimbus - in Greek "Ο ΩΝ" or "ὁ ὠ ̀ν", which emphasizes the conviction of the Orthodox that it was that God who incarnated Which in the Old Testament was called Jehovah (Yahweh). The Name of the God-Man Itself also points to this: Jesus in Hebrew sounds like Yehoshua, which means "Yahweh saves."

We will try to portray the same idea with the help of biblical texts.

At the same time, let us remember that the Scriptures of the New Testament have come down to us only in Greek, so the Old Testament name Yahweh is no longer found in them. However, in these texts, Old Testament quotations are quite often given, where Yahweh is spoken of, in relation to the Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover, the Old Testament texts in most cases are given according to the ancient Greek translation of the Old Testament (the so-called Septuagint), which makes it possible to trace even verbatim matches in the wording.

1st example:

Old Testament:

"God said to Moses: I am who I am (ἐ γώ εἰ μι ὁ ὤ ν). And he said: Thus say to the children of Israel: Jehovah (ὁ ὠ ̀ν, Yahweh) has sent me to you" (Exodus 3:14).

"But My witnesses, says the Lord (κύριος ὁ θεός) ... so that you know and believe Me, and understand that it is I (ἵ να γνω̃τε καὶ πιστεύσητε καὶ συνη̃τε ὅ τι ἐ γώ ἐ γώ ἐ γώ ὅ τι ἐ γώ ἐ γώ ἐ shall not be" (Isaiah 43:10).

New Testament:

“Therefore I told you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that it is I (γὰρ μὴ πιστεύσητε ὅ τι ἐ γώ εἰ μι), you will die in your sins” (John 8:24).

"So Jesus said to them: when you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that it is I (τότε γνώσεσθε ὅ τι ἐ γώ εἰ μι)" (John 8:28).

"Jesus said to them: Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am (ἐ γώ εἰ μι)" (John 8:58).

"Now I tell you, before [that] happens, so that when it happens, you may believe that it is I (ινὰ πιστεύσητε οταν γενηται ὅ τι ἐ γώ εἰ μι)," (John 13:19).

"They answered him: Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus says to them: it is I (ἐ γώ εἰ μι). Judas, his betrayer, also stood with them. And when he said to them: it is I (ἐ γώ εἰ μι), they stepped back and fell on land. Again he asked them: whom are you looking for? They said: Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered: I told you that it was I (ἐ γώ εἰ μι)" (John 18:5-9).

2nd example:

Old Testament:

"... it will flourish and rejoice, it will triumph and rejoice; the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord (Yahweh), the greatness of our God. Fear not: behold your God, vengeance will come, the recompense of God; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be opened" (Isaiah 35:2-10).

New Testament:

“But John, having heard in prison about the works of Christ, sent two of his disciples to say to Him: Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect another? And Jesus said to them in response: Go, tell John what you hear and see: blind they receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor preach the gospel, and blessed is he who is not offended by Me" (Matthew 11:2-6).

3rd example:

Old Testament:

"..for the Lord (Yahweh), your God, is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, a great God, strong and terrible, who does not look at faces and does not take gifts" (Deut. 10:17-22).

"Praise the God of gods, for his mercy endures forever. Praise the Lord (Yahweh) of those in power, for his mercy endures forever; Him who alone works great wonders, for his mercy endures forever; who made the heavens in wisdom, for his mercy endures forever" (Ps. 135: 2-5).

New Testament:

"...and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his blood" (Rev. 1:5-20).

"On His garment and on His thigh is the name written, 'King of kings and Lord of lords'" (Rev. 19:16-21).

4th example:

Old Testament:

“Behold, the Lord (Yahweh) God comes with power, and His arm with power. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense is before Him. and lead the milkmen" (Isaiah 40:10-11).

New Testament:

"I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep" (John 10:11-42).

5th example:

Old Testament:

"The prophetic word of the Lord about Israel. The Lord (Yahweh), who stretched out the sky, founded the earth and formed the spirit of man inside it, says: And it will come to pass in that day, I will destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem spirit of grace and compunction, and they will look upon Him (more precisely, "on Me", cf. NASB translation: "look on Me whom they have pierced"), Whom they have pierced, and they will weep for Him, as one weeps for an only-begotten son, and mourn as one mourns for the firstborn" (Zech. 12:1-12).

New Testament:

"Also in another [place] the Scripture says: They will look at him whom they pierced" (John 19:37-42).

6th example:

Old Testament:

"Like birds - chicks, so the Lord (Yahweh) Hosts will cover Jerusalem, protect and deliver, spare and save" (Is. 31:5-9).

"as an eagle raises its nest, hovers over its chicks, spreads out its wings, takes them and carries them on its feathers, so the Lord (Yahweh) alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him" (Deut. 32: 11-12 ).

New Testament:

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to you! how many times have I wanted to gather your children together, as a bird gathers her chicks under her wings, and you did not want to!" (Matthew 23:37-39)

7th example:

Old Testament:

"Who did and did this? He who from the beginning causes childbirth; I am the Lord (Yahweh) first, and in the last - I am the same" (Is. 41:4).

"Thus says the Lord (Yahweh), the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord (Yahweh) of hosts: I am the first and I am the last, and besides Me there is no God" (Is. 44:6-28)

"I am the same, I am the first and I am the last" (Isaiah 48:8-22).

New Testament:

"And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as if dead. And He laid His right hand on me and said to me, Fear not; I am the First and the Last, and I am alive; and I was dead, and behold, I live forever and ever." amen; and I have the keys of hell and death" (Rev. 1:17-18)

"And write to the Angel of the Church of Smyrna: Thus says the First and Last, who was dead, and lo, he is alive" (Rev. 2:8-29).

“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his deeds. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the First and the Last. I, Jesus, sent My Angel to testify this to you in the churches” (Rev. 22 :12-20)

8-example:

Old Testament:

"I am with you! says the Lord (Yahweh)" (Hag. 1:13).

New Testament:

"... and lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Amen" (Matt. 28:20).

9th example:

Old Testament:

"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord (Yahweh), make straight paths in the steppe for our God; ... the glory of the Lord will appear, and all flesh will see [God's salvation]; say to the cities of Judah: Behold your God! Behold, the Lord (Yahweh) God cometh with power, and his arm with dominion: Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him" (Isaiah 40:3-31).

New Testament:

"And thou, little child, shall be called a prophet of the Most High, for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways" (Luke 1:76).

"You yourselves are my witnesses in this that I said: I am not the Christ, but I was sent before Him" (John 3:28-36,

"John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in him who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus" (Acts 19:4-40).

"There was a man sent from God; his name was John. He came for a witness, to testify of the Light, John of Jesus coming to him and said: I did not know Him; but for this I came to baptize in water, so that He would be revealed to Israel" ( n. 1:6-31)

10th example:

Old Testament:

"I, the Lord (Yahweh), pierce the heart and test the inward parts, to reward everyone according to his way and according to the fruits of his deeds" (Jer. 17:10-27).

New Testament:

"...and all the churches shall understand that I am the one who searches hearts and inwards; and I will repay each of you according to your deeds" (Rev. 2:23)

11th example:

Old Testament:

"Lord (Yahweh) of hosts - honor Him holy, and He is your fear, and He is your trembling! And He will be sanctification and a stumbling block, and a rock of temptation for both houses of Israel, a noose and a net for the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many of them stumble and fall and be broken and entangled in a net and be caught” (Isaiah 8:13-16)

New Testament:

"Therefore, He is to you who believe, a jewel, but to those who do not believe, the stone which the builders rejected, but which has become the head of the corner, a stumbling stone and a stone of offense, on which they stumble, not obeying the word, to which they were left" (1 Pet. 2:2-16)

12th example:

Old Testament:

"Declare and say, having consulted among yourselves: who proclaimed this from ancient times, said this beforehand? Was it not I, the Lord (Yahweh)? and there is no other God besides Me, there is no God besides Me, a righteous and saving God. Turn to Me, and you will saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other. By me I swear, righteousness proceeds from my mouth, an unchangeable word, that every knee shall bow before me, every tongue shall swear by me" (Isaiah 45:21-23)

New Testament:

"... that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:10-11)

13th example:

Old Testament:

"Mountains melt like wax from the presence of the Lord (Yahweh), from the presence of the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His truth, and all peoples see His glory. Let all those who serve idols, boasting in idols, be put to shame. Bow before Him, all the gods" (Ps. 96:5-12)

New Testament:

"Also, when he brings the Firstborn into the world, he says, Let all the angels of God bow down to him" (Heb. 1:6-14).

14th example:

Old Testament:

"... I saw the Lord sitting on a throne... Seraphim stood around Him... And they called to each other and said: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord (Yahweh) of Hosts! The whole earth is full of His glory! ... And I said: woe is me! I am lost! for I am a man with unclean lips, and I live among the people also with unclean lips, - and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord (Yahweh) of hosts ... And He said: go and tell this people: hear with your ears - and you will not understand, and you will look with your eyes, and you will not see. healed them" (Isaiah 6:1-13)

New Testament:

"... this people blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they do not see with their eyes, and do not understand with their hearts, and do not turn to me heal them. Isaiah said this when he saw His glory and spoke of Him" (John 12:39 -47).

15th example:

Old Testament:

"I have not spoken in secret, not in the dark place of the earth; I have not said to the tribe of Jacob, 'You seek me in vain.'

Indeed, some very extraordinary type appeared in the Middle East about three thousand years ago. And not alone, but with a team of the same as him, but subordinate to him. I want to warn the reader right away - do not look at my research through the prism of religiosity or something like that. I am impartial in the sense of belief in God. I conduct a dry, unbiased analysis of the text and the psychological component of the scripture.

So the first - the god Yahweh and his team are not earthlings. That is, they are aliens from another world. Don't be surprised by these findings. Pay attention to the manner of addressing both Yahweh himself and the members of his team to people. The expression "Son of man" used by them, in the language of psychologists, is a well-known distancing. Neither Yahweh nor any of his comrades, as they are described, relates themselves to people. That is, they are not sons of men.

Secondly, it doesn't seem strange to you that Yahweh in those distant times possessed the knowledge and abilities of the modern level. Those who are familiar with the text of the Old Testament should know about it. Yahweh is familiar with virology, bacteriology, medicine, gene research. Knows about the impact of nutrition on the human body. He is also strong in sociology and military affairs. Requires adherence to standards of conduct inherent in modern society, albeit with some nuance - about which later ...

Moreover, he has at his disposal a rather impressive aircraft and several smaller ones. Moreover, he does not fly in a balloon, but on a disk-like apparatus made of metal the size of a cinema, and even with beam weapons on board. The device can fly independently, using the jet principle. And move around with the help of four carriers equipped with propellers like a helicopter, moreover, folding. The carriers have landing legs like those of modern spacecraft and are equipped with original sector wheels. Equipped with manipulators under the screws, which in the covenant the prophet Ezekiel called the likeness of a human hand. And I didn’t invent anything, and I didn’t notice it either. A lot of people have been doing this for a long time. Since about the middle of the last century. And at a fairly high level. Read the book of the prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament, only carefully! You will be surprised by the plot. The book describes a certain "Glory of the Lord", which occurs earlier in the scripture. For the first time in Exodus. However, only after reading Ezekiel can you figure out what it is.

Few people know that the leading specialist, NASA engineer Jozsef Blumrich, was engaged in the Old Testament "glory of the Lord". He quite accurately reproduced the "glory of the Lord" in the drawing. And he unraveled the device of the sector wheels of this flying glory of the Lord. He also patented the invention. Anyone who sees her at the reconstruction immediately exclaims - “Oh ... a flying saucer!” Although you don’t have to be a NASA specialist to see a diskette with weapons in the glory of the Lord. Just carefully read the text of the bible and imagine what the prophet describes. The modern reader has one advantage over the reader of the past - knowledge and the ability to compare with modern aerospace technologies.

It is clear that for the ancient Jews such a phenomenon as a spaceship and the one who controls it is none other than God arrived. An unprecedented weapon with which Yahweh destroys tens of thousands of people in a matter of minutes. It flies and flies with noise and roar, while raising a cloud filled with the light of a flame. Sometimes reading one is amazed - how such a thing can be described in the Bible at all. But the theme of the diskette runs through the whole Old Testament. It is for this reason that Yahweh brings terror to all the peoples of the Middle East. And the Jews are afraid of everyone they attack. He burns sacrifices with fire that comes from nowhere. It splits the rock and opens the earth. It affects people with ulcers and other diseases - all this was unknown to people of that time. Of course in their eyes he is God!

But what surprised me was his "earthly nature." And he has a bad temper! For all his difference from people, he behaves like something earthly, like a human being! Here's a mystery, so a mystery. The aliens speak in a language understandable to people. They look like people, which is also perfectly described in the testament. They eat and drink like human beings. They wear clothes, although not the same as those of ancient people. The Prophet Ezekiel was met near the entrance to the hangar for a diskette by a certain husband who looked like shiny copper ... (Ezekiel ch.40). It is difficult to think of a reason for such a difference from other people. Apparently metallic overalls. In his hands was a measuring stick and a rope. He introduces Ezekiel to the structure of the hangar and the whole complex of buildings around it for a long time and in detail.

Question:

Please tell me, director Ivanov - is “director” a name or position? And Mr. Ivanov - "Mr." Is this a title or a name? So how do you say God and Lord is the name? God has a name, and you cite the tetragrammaton YHWH, which occurs over 7,000 times in the Bible. Throughout the world, his reading is reported as Jehovah or Yahweh, so why don't you finish this in your answer and don't quote Exodus 3:15? Let's honestly insert this Tetragrammaton in all the places in the Bible where it appears in the original texts. I do not hope for your answer, but I am glad that there are still people who read the Bible and meditate. Goodbye.

Boris

Priest Afanasy Gumerov, a resident of the Sretensky Monastery, answers:

The question of the names of God is resolved in ancient and late patristics, as well as in biblical science. Both representatives of patristic theology and scholars in the field of biblical scholarship are unanimous in their opinion that Holy Bible reveals to us several divine names. This is disputed only by representatives of some sects, in particular, "Jehovah's Witnesses". They claim that there is only one hidden name (Jehovah) that they revere. Everything else, they say, titles. This statement is completely contrary to the sacred texts.

Sacred writers use the word shem (name). It applies not only to God, but also to people. It is present in the book of Exodus (3:13-15). Prophet Moses asks: And they will say to me: what is His name? God said to Moses: I am who I am. The Hebrew text contains a four-letter word: yod, r(x)e, vav, r(x)e (YHWH). This word was called tetragrammaton (tetra - four; gramma - letter). The Jews have not pronounced this name for some time. One of the Jewish traditions dates the beginning of this prohibition to the time of the high priest Simon the Righteous (3rd century BC), after whose death the priests stopped using the tetragram even in worship. Therefore, another name was placed next to the tetragram, also consisting of four letters: Aleph, Dalet, Nun, Yod. It was pronounced instead of a tetragram - Adonai. Unlike the royal title adoni (lord, master), Adonai (my Lord) in the Bible refers only to God. In a number of places, this name as an appeal is already found in ancient texts:; ; Tue 9:26; etc. The Hebrew alphabet consists of only 22 consonants. Around the 6th century A.D. there appeared a system of vocalizations (nekudot), masoretes (Heb. mazar - legend), i.e. the keepers of the legend, deliberately transferred the vowel sounds from the name Adonai to the tetragram. Medieval European scholars did not notice this convention and mistook the spelling of these vowels for their own tetragram vowels. Therefore, for several centuries, the tetragram was pronounced incorrectly - Jehovah. However, already in the 16th - 17th centuries, a number of prominent Hebraic scholars (Buxtrophy, Drusius, Capell, Althingius) objected to such a reading. Since the exact pronunciation was not offered in return, it continued to be the same - Jehovah. In the first half of the 19th century, the German scholar Ewald proposed another reading - Jahvah (Yahvah). This proposal was not accepted immediately, but only after the support of such prominent researchers as Genstenberg and Reinke. The reading proposed by Ewald is not the discovery of the true name. It was obtained by the philological method. Therefore, two options are possible: Jahvah and Jahveh. Based on historical data, our distinguished researcher, the archbishop, considered the pronunciation Jahveh (Yahweh) to be the most plausible.

Despite the exact data of biblical science, representatives of the sect "Jehovah's Witnesses" built their "dogmatics" on the basis of an erroneous reading of the tetragram. The author of the letter does not talk about his religious affiliation, but his pathos is not accidental. “All over the world, his reading is transmitted as Jehovah or Yahweh…”. First of all, we must ask: what is the name? Jehovah or Yahweh? After all, they are completely different. Secondly, is the “reading given as Jehovah” all over the world, or among members of a sect? I will cite the opinion of not an Orthodox theologian, but a modern Hebraist professor at Harvard University, Thomas O. Lambdin, about the name contained in the tetragram: “Initially, it was most likely pronounced as Yahwe. Then, out of pious motives, they stopped saying it, replacing it with Adonay (Lord) when reading aloud. This custom, which arose already several centuries BC. and reflected the Masoretes in their punctuation, transferring the vocalization of the word Adonay to the letters standing in the biblical text [the author has a tetragram in the text in Hebrew script - yod, g(x)e, vav, g(x)e]. Thus was born a "hybrid" spelling that did not reflect any real pronunciation. Later, the conditional Masoretic spelling was read literally by European scholars - hence the incorrect form “Jehovah” that does not correspond to either ancient or later traditional reading ”(Thomas O. Lambdin. Textbook of the Hebrew language, translated from English, M., 1998, p. 117). Concerning the pronunciation of Yahweh, the learned Hebraist writes only presumably: "it was most likely pronounced as Yahwe." In modern Western theological literature, Yahweh is encountered quite often, but is it possible to prayerfully invoke a name if it is not revealed to us, but obtained through linguistic research. Is it possible to include it in prayers if the scientists themselves are not completely sure of its accuracy?

How do Orthodox Christians pronounce the biblical outline of the tetragram? In full agreement with the Old Testament temple tradition. Since Adonai (Lord) was read in the Temple, then 72 Jewish interpreters, when translated into Greek language in the 3rd century BC. Curios (Lord) was placed in place of the tetragram. The holy apostles turned to the Greek Bible. This is proved by the analysis of the text of the Gospel. Following them, we pronounce - the Lord.

Let us consider another fundamental question: is there one name of God, or are there several of them? Let's turn to the Holy Scriptures.

1. The same word shem (name), as in Exodus (3:13-15), also stands in those places where there is no tetragram: “You must not worship a god other than the Lord; because his name is jealous; He is a jealous God "(). IN Hebrew Bible stands: Shemo El-Kanna (the name God is jealous).

2. In the book of Isaiah we read: “Our Redeemer is the Lord of Hosts, His name is the Holy One of Israel” (). In Heb. Text: Shemo Kedosh Yisrael. Should we trust our own preconceived notions or the prophet Isaiah? In his book, the name of God, the Holy One of Israel, occurs 25 times (1:4; 5:19, 24; 10:20; 12:6; 17:7; 29:19; 30:11-12, 15; 31:1; 37 :23; 41:14, 16, 20; 43:3, 14; 45:11; 47:4; 48:17; 49:7; 54:5; 60:9, 14). It is quite clear from the context that the Holy One of Israel is used as the name of God. It is enough to take those places where it is quite synonymous with the tetragram. For example, "they will put their trust in the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, wholeheartedly" (10:20). In the first part of this verse there is a tetragram.

3. “Only You are our Father; for Abraham does not recognize us, and Israel does not recognize us as their own; You, Lord, our Father, from time immemorial Your name: "Our Redeemer" ”(). Again in the Hebrew text there is the same word as in Exodus 3:13-15) - shemo (name). Goel (Redeemer) as the name of God is also found in other places of Holy Scripture.

4. The Lord of hosts is His name "(). Another name is indicated here - Sabaoth (Heb. Tsevaot; from the creatures. Tsava - army). We also meet other prophets about this: “The Lord God of Hosts is His name” (); “Your name is called on me, Lord, God of Hosts” ().

5. Other names were also used: El (Strong, Strong), Elohim (in the Greek Bible - Theos; in the Slavic and Russian - God), El-Shaddai (in the Greek Bible - Pantokrator; in the Slavic and Russian Bibles - Almighty), etc. The prayerful mention of any of them meant invoking the name of the Lord.

The opinion that there are several divine names in the Old Testament is not only an opinion Orthodox theology, according to the author of the letter. I will again cite the opinion of a non-Orthodox learned Hebraist. Thomas O. Lambdin in the Hebrew Textbook highlighted a special paragraph “Excursus: the names of God in the Old Testament”: “Most often God in the Old Testament is called by the names Elohim and YHWH ... The addition of the prepositions be, le and ke to the names Elohim and Adonay has one peculiarity: the initial aleph in pronunciation is lost along with the vowel following it” (p. 117-18).

Our discussion is not an academic theological debate, but is of fundamental importance. The position set forth in the letter is directed against the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. To this end, the Deity of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is denied. In order to avoid dangerous mistakes and delusions, it is necessary to get rid of narrow ideas that bind the mind and spiritual eyes. The revelation about the Holy Trinity is given in the New Testament. In the Gospel of Matthew, our Lord Jesus Christ, sending disciples, says: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit” (28:19). It is impossible to know the Father without believing in the divinity of the Son: “We also know that the Son of God came and gave us light and understanding, so that we may know the true God and be in His true Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Origin of the name Yahweh

Yahweh is the name of God in Judaism and Christianity, used in the Old Testament (Tanakh). According to the Bible, it was revealed to the Jewish people through Moses. In modern Russian, the pronunciation with the accent on the first syllable is accepted, but for the Hebrew language, the accent on the last syllable is typical.
Tetragrammaton (YHVH) transliteration into Russian God's name, four consonants - יהוה. Yahweh is the currently accepted probable pronunciation of the name of the God of the Bible. The pronunciation of the name of God in Judaism is taboo, which, in particular, is based on the biblical commandment “Do not pronounce the name of the Lord your God in vain” (Ex. 20: 7), therefore only the high priest of the Jerusalem temple knew the true (secret) pronunciation of the name, and in prayers use the appeal Adonai (Heb., "Lord", "Lord", "Almighty"), in everyday life - Hashem (Heb. "Name").
Since vowels are not indicated in ancient writing (Hebrew), the true pronunciation of the name of God remains the subject of hypotheses, only the letters Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei (in the Latin transcription YHWH) are reliably known. The literal designation of this Hebrew name is the tetragrammaton. The Samaritans retain the pronunciation of Yahwe or Yahwa to the present day. The pronunciation of Yahweh with variants Yahwoh, Yehwoh is also reconstructed from independent ancient Semitic sources.

The voicing of the Tetragrammaton "Jehowah" (in the Russian tradition - Jehovah) is widespread and has become part of a number of European languages. The well-known antiquarian and orientalist Ilya Shifman wrote about the use of the word Jehovah: When the keepers of the Jewish Old Testament tradition invented special signs for denoting vowels, they added vowels from the word Adonai to the consonants of the name Yahweh. The result was Jehovah (in the traditional spelling: Jehovah) that never actually existed or was read. That is, Jehovah is not the name of God, it is a derivative of other words, which appeared relatively recently.

Here he is. Supposed Yahweh (right).

Yahweh in West Semitic mythology

Wife of Yahweh. Some sources say that Yahweh had a spouse, and even two spouses at once. Anat and Ashera. According to some researchers, during the period of transition to monotheism among the ancient Jews, Yahweh was considered the only god, however, having a spouse. According to some sources (for example, the Elephantine papyri), it was Anat, according to others - Ashera. The Old Testament mentions the worship of the ancient Jews to the "Queen of Heaven", against which the prophet Jeremiah fought. Archaeological evidence (frequent finds of statuettes of Asherah) also speak of a widespread cult of her in Palestine, at least until the 6th century BC. e. However, among researchers there is confusion between the names of the goddesses Ashera (the wife of the god El) and Ashtoret (Ishtar-Astarte), which differ in Ugaritic mythology; just as Yahweh in ancient times could be identified with El or the son of El.

In the early twentieth century, documents written on papyrus in Aramaic were found in Egypt. It turned out that in Elephantine, a small island settlement opposite Aswan, there was a colony of Jewish mercenaries living there from the beginning of Persian rule (525 BC) until the beginning of our era. The settlers had their own temple, they were aware of their involvement with the Jewish people, and their priests corresponded with the Jerusalem priests. Who did the Jews of Elephantine worship? Of course, the Jewish god, whom they called YHW ( short form YHWH). But along with him, in the same temple, they worshiped two goddesses - Asham of Bethel (Bethel is the main city in the northern kingdom of Israel; the goddess herself, perhaps, correlates with Ashmat from Samaria, mentioned by Amos, 8:14) and Anat of Bethel (the famous Semitic goddess of love and war).

It turned out to be quite easy to identify the YHW of Elephantine and the common Hebrew Yahweh, although the former has two divine consorts. Scholars consider the religion of the area to be Jewish, though not normative. Several explanations are offered for these deviations from the monotheistic canon. The first is due to the fact that the religion of Elephantine, according to Shalit, was of a folk character. The Elephantine Jews brought with them to Egypt the folk religion that the early prophets and Jeremiah fought against shortly before the destruction of the first Temple. Of course, the popular religion also put in the first place the god of the Jews - Yahweh.

Other scholars see the reason in the distance from the normative Judaism of the times of the second Temple and / or the influence of a pagan environment. However, recent finds on the territory of Israel proper explain this phenomenon in a new way. Drawings on a broken vessel found in Kuntillet-Ajrud in the northeast of Sinai and dated to the beginning of the 18th century. BC e., depict three figures: a man standing in the foreground, a woman directly behind him, and a seated musician in the background. The inscription reads "I bless you in the name of Yahweh of Samaria and his Asherah." A funerary inscription from a tomb in El Kom (Judea), dating back to the 18th century. BC, also ends with the names of Yahweh and Ashera. Ashera, like Anat, is a well-known and according to many documents goddess of the northwestern Semitic pantheon. We remember that the Bible itself speaks of its official veneration in Israel in the ninth century. BC.; her cult was approved by Jechebel and Atalia, who probably borrowed it from the Phoenicians. In other biblical references, the authors either lament her veneration (2 Kings 14:13, for example, where another lady is mentioned), or reduce her to the role of a tree or pole near the altar (2 Kings 13:6, 17:16; Deuteronomy 16 -21 et seq.). The condemnation and bitter controversy directed against her is a sign of Asherah's popularity and reverence. Margalit claims that this name means "going behind" - this name indicates her role as a wife supreme god, which is very suitable for the drawing on the vessel from Kuntillet Ajrud. Thus, taking into account both biblical indications and archaeological finds, we can draw the following conclusion: the cult of the goddess, the alleged wife of Yahweh, was widespread throughout the country during the era of the first Temple, as well as among the Jewish population of Elephantine.

Correspondences with other deities

Apparently, the veneration of Yahweh was widespread not only among the ancient Jews, but was also found among other West Semitic tribes. Among the Phoenicians, he was known under the name of Yevo and in Byblos under the name of Yehi (Yihavi). He was responsible for the sea element and was considered the patron of the city of Beirut, where texts dedicated to Yevo were discovered, undoubtedly created under the influence of myths about Baal-Haddad, the god of thunder, the son of the Ugaritic Ilu. The name of the latter passed into Hebrew in a common noun, meaning "god", and the functions of Ilu (El) were absorbed by Yahweh. In Palestine, he was considered the patron of the ancient Israeli union of tribes and, probably, the patron of Edom. Fights Yammu (the sea) and the leviathan and wins. In Ugarit and Canaan, Yahweh (Java) was called Yammu - the god of the sea, defeated in the fight against Baal. In addition, in the Ugaritic ritual prayers, Yahweh is identified with El, or he is called the son of El. It is assumed that in the general Western Semitic pantheon, Yahweh / Yevo was the lord of the water element, possibly corresponding to the god Ea in Sumero-Akkadian mythology (which, however, is doubtful, because Ea was an opponent of the formidable Enlil (later in the Bible, possibly called Yahweh), who announced the Flood. However, such confusion is typical for related, but not coinciding mythologies, compare Uranus / Zeus among the Greeks and Dyaus / Indra among the Indo-Aryans).

Yahweh in the Old Testament

In the Old Testament, Yahweh (usually rendered in the synodal translation as "Lord" or "Lord God") is a personal monotheistic god the people of Israel, who led the Jews out of Egypt and gave Moses the divine Law. The cult of Yahweh is contrasted in the Old Testament with sharply negatively evaluated cults of other Semitic deities. The history of the relationship of the people of Israel with Yahweh is the central plot of the Old Testament. Yahweh in the Bible actively participates in the fate of Israel and other nations, reveals himself to the prophets, gives commandments, and punishes disobedience. The perception of the personality of the Old Testament God was different in different religious and philosophical teachings. Thus, from a Christian point of view, both its continuity in comparison with the New Testament concept of God and the differences between them were emphasized.

Christianity

In orthodox Christianity, the name Yahweh is appropriate for all three persons of the Godhead. Under the name of Yahweh, the Son of God (Jesus before the incarnation) appeared to Moses and the prophets. Yahweh He is the Creator, the Legislator, the protector, the Deity, the supreme and powerful Lord. Synodal translation, as a rule, conveys the tetragram (YHWH) with the word "Lord". The pronunciation "Jehovah" is used in Christian world for more than 200 years, but in most translations of the Bible into Russian it is very rare (Ex. 6:3, footnote, Ex. 15:3) and has been replaced by other names (mainly Lord).

Who is this Yahweh if not God? If we put aside the version of his divine origin, then we have several versions: Yahweh or a fictional character (such as Santa Claus), Yahweh is an alien, Yahweh is a representative dark forces. Let's analyze these versions in more detail.

A well-known figure in the “new atheism”, ethologist Richard Dawkins, believes that Yahweh is “the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; petty, unjust, vindictive despot; a vindictive, bloodthirsty chauvinist killer; intolerant of homosexuals, misogynist, racist, murderer of children, peoples, brothers, cruel megalomaniac, sadomasochist, capricious, vicious offender. Yahweh, who was worshiped by the Jews - none other than the Ancient Egyptian Set, the dark god of the desert, castrated by the son of Osiris Horus in revenge for the death of his father - a prototype of the devil. By the way, in the New Testament, Christ says this to the Jews: “Your father is the devil; and you want to do the desires of your father” (Jn 8:44). In Christianity, as in Judaism, the devil was identified with the serpent (a reptilian entity). But how could this be. Yahweh is also the Creator of Existing, is he also a dark god? He himself forbade eating the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he himself seduced Eve into this, and he punished them? Why not? First, let's find out that Yahweh cannot be the One Creator of Heaven and Earth. He is too personal, has his addictions, is jealous, angry and similar qualities. In the Bible, after all, this is not attributed to him. Yahweh - is called in any way, except for the Lord, the Lord God of Abraham and his descendants. It was already Judas that Christian priests began to attribute to this essence what the Creator had created, because they identified them. Plutarch, an ancient Greek historian, wrote: “Those who tell that Typhon (Set) after the battle fled for seven days on a donkey, escaped and became the father of Jerusalem and Judea, they quite obviously and clearly attract the Jewish tradition to the myth” “On Isis and Osiris." This confirms that the Jewish god Yahweh is a terrible, bloodthirsty demon who comes out only at night, avoiding the day, that is, the dark god Seth. Why does Christ say to the Jews: “For when they rise from the dead, they will neither marry nor give in marriage, but will be like angels in heaven” (Mark 12:25)? Why were these angels in Christianity depicted not as sexless creatures (amoebas), namely, as castrated men, without genitals? After all, just as Set, the dark god, was emasculated, so Yahweh could not stand anything reminiscent of the fact that people have pleasures that are inaccessible to him. This is the only "god" who is averse to carnal joys. He is strict and dull. Any joys contradict him. Night - the time at which all Jewish Christian holidays are held, such as Easter (Jewish Pesach) - also speaks of the dark essence of the god Yahweh (Set). And Moses was angry with the captains of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who had come from the war, 31:15 and Moses said to them, Why did you leave all the women alive? 31:17 Therefore, kill ALL the male CHILDREN, and kill all the women who know a man in a man's bed; 31:18 and all the FEMALE CHILDREN who did not know the male bed, keep alive FOR YOURSELF. 31:28 And from the soldiers who went to war, take tribute to Yahweh, one soul out of five hundred, from people and from cattle, and from donkeys and flocks; 31:29 take this from half of them and give it to Eleazar the priest in the LORDING LORD. 31:31 And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as Jehovah commanded Moses. 31:40 There are sixteen thousand people, and the tribute of them to Yahweh is thirty-two souls. 31:41 And Moses paid tribute, the OFFERING to Yahweh, to Eleazar the priest, as Yahweh commanded Moses. Did you think, after listening to the gracious priestly speeches, that “the god Yahweh does not require bloody human sacrifices and this compares favorably with the pagan” gods? What does this quote tell us?

After reading the Old Testament, in fact, one may get the opinion that the Old Testament god Yahweh is not a figment of the imagination of the ancient Jews. Indeed, some very extraordinary type appeared in the Middle East about three thousand years ago. And not alone, but with a team of the same as him, but who are subordinate to him. I want to warn the reader right away - do not look at my research through the prism of religiosity or something like that. I am impartial in the sense of belief in God. I conduct a dry, unbiased analysis of the text and the psychological component of the scripture. So the first - the god Yahweh and his team may not be earthlings. That is, they are aliens from another world. Don't be surprised by these findings. Pay attention to the manner of addressing both Yahweh himself and the members of his team to people. The expression "Son of man" used by them, in the language of psychologists, is a well-known distancing. Neither Yahweh, nor any of his comrades, as they are described, relates themselves to people. That is, they themselves are not human sons. It requires observing the norms of behavior inherent in modern society, with some nuances. But more on that later…

Moreover, he has at his disposal a rather impressive aircraft in size and several smaller ones. Read the book of the prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament, only carefully. You will be surprised by the plot. The book describes a certain "Glory of the Lord", which occurs earlier in the scripture. For the first time in Exodus. However, only after reading Ezekiel can you figure out what it is.

Glory to the Lord. Real aircraft.

Although you don’t have to be a NASA specialist to see a diskette with weapons in the glory of the Lord. But the theme of the diskette runs through the entire Old Testament. Of course in their eyes he is God. But what surprised me was his "earthly nature." Moreover, his character is wicked. For all his difference from people, he behaves like something earthly, human. The aliens speak in a language understandable to people. They look like people, which is also perfectly described in the testament. They eat and drink like human beings. They wear clothes, although not the same as those of ancient people. The prophet Ezekiel was greeted at the entrance to the diskette hangar by a man who looked like gleaming brass. (Ezekiel ch.40) It is difficult to come up with a reason for such a difference from other people. Apparently metallic overalls. In his hands was a measuring stick and a rope. He introduces Ezekiel to the structure of the hangar and the whole complex of buildings around it for a long time and in detail. The Prophet was ordered to document everything in detail and pass it on to the people. However, the punishers of the city with destructive weapons in their hands are distinguished by their attire. They were sent by Yahweh to destroy the inhabitants of the city of Jerusalem for worshiping other gods. But here we see the exception method in the description. There were six of them, but one was in linen clothes with a scribe's instrument. The clothes of the rest with weapons are not described. But obviously they were not wrapped in linen, if they silently and effectively destroyed most of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. What the man in linen clothes reported to Yahweh himself at the end of the operation. Who are they? The weapon is clearly small in size, since it is said that everyone has it in their hand. Residents did not run away from the noise and screams. There is an opinion that Yahweh is a certain military rank of aliens who hid on Earth from more powerful forces. Perhaps after the war of the gods, which is described in the annals and legends of antiquity. The place is familiar to him. The people of the earth too. And apparently, in anticipation of help from his own, he and his team were waiting for a ship that would pick them up. And in order not to waste time, he “tamed” a few people for personal gain.

An interesting fact is the primitiveness of some of Yahweh's requirements. For example, the rite of sacrifice is obligatory for Jews. High technology and sacrifice somehow do not fit with each other. Sacrificial meat Yahweh burns with a laser, causing awe in people. But here it is clear - you need to surprise and force the great to believe in yourself. But why would he even mess with such a primitive at his level? Did the needs of the team and the whole complex require the participation of the whole people? Yahweh robs the Jews very greedily. The best provisions, hides and fabrics, oil and precious metals. Lead was also required, which is very interesting. Apparently Yahweh did not save up all this for the sake of profit. Most likely there was a need to change gold and silver for consumables for the maintenance of aircraft. But with whom did he change? It can be assumed that the necessary equipment was at the base. Then Yahweh bought from someone for gold and silver only raw materials. For example metal. But the production of fuel, steel smelting, and other high-tech work is already a whole enterprise. And apparently on the basis of all this was. Workers need to be trained and fed. Provide housing. This explains his greed. The staff serving the base was very numerous. Apparently they were Levites trained by aliens. We see similar training in the construction of the ark of the covenant. Yahweh himself tells Moses that he put wisdom and skill into the Jewish masters. The territory around the complex covered tens of square kilometers. And on the feast of Passover, the Jews brought fifty carcasses of calves to the base, not counting the smaller cattle for slaughter. Wine, bread, etc. In general, all this is best described in the book of the prophet Ezekiel. Rather, Yahweh associated himself with a primitive and generally small people solely for utilitarian reasons. They provided for him. And since there were relatively few Jews, and there was nowhere to escape in the desert, Yahweh could easily control his slaves and punish them in case of a rebellion. What he periodically did with the help of weapons on his diskette. Fifteen thousand Jews cut with a laser in a matter of minutes. They rebelled and began to put pressure on Moses. In addition, Yahweh freed the Jewish people from Egyptian slavery. They owe him now.

But where did Yahweh and his retinue come from at all? What are they? They live for centuries without dying, at least Yahweh himself. His words "I swore an oath to your forefathers - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob in fidelity to you." But it's at least three generations. There were no such highly developed civilizations on Earth during this period. And judging by the text of the Old Testament, Yahweh has been spinning near the Earth for a long time. Yes, they look like people. How to link together high technology with the time of two - three thousand years ago? One version remains - aliens from outer space who know the Earth and its inhabitants well. They don't look like us, but we look like them. Apparently not that far away solar system there is a more advanced civilization. The flight from it to Earth takes several hundred years. Its representatives periodically fly to us and behave like hosts. Most likely this is our creators. Only sometimes they are good and kind, and sometimes they are like Yahweh. And then earthlings have been playing religion for thousands of years. It's good that now you can sort things out so calmly. It is time for conclusions without God.

What else is interesting about the psychology of Yahweh? He is capable of friendship, real human friendship. With Moses for example. Moses was so loved by God that Yahweh listened to the opinion of Moses and often made concessions at the request of the latter. Because of Moses, Yahweh killed fifteen thousand Jewish people. That is, the life of Moses was valued above the life of the Jewish people. The entire Jewish camp saw how Moses went to the tabernacle, away from all the people, and there he talked with God as with a friend. At the same time, a pillar of cloud necessarily descended from the sky. Sometimes it is written that the glory of the Lord fell. Although the closest relatives of Moses were also close to Yahweh. Brother Aaron, Sister Mariam and their children. That is, again there are purely human signs in behavior. I can't stand it when believers make some heavenly chimera out of Yahweh. An abstract creature that is not accessible to anyone, which controls everything on Earth, but you cannot touch it. But their motives are clear to me. But the Old Testament book is very truthful and there is nothing like it there. Yahweh constantly communicates with people. Only through intermediaries. He is seen, heard and tolerated from him in case of fault quite truly. And nowhere in the Testament does it say that Yahweh is somewhere in the clouds. Especially his subordinates from the team. How did they come down to Earth? And even faces like Yahweh are not hidden. And of course the most unique contactee is Moses. In the book of Numbers in chapter 12, we see that the glory of the Lord descended from heaven and Yahweh himself, analyzing the scandal of Moses with his brother Aaron and sister Miriam, says: “If I appear to someone in visions or in a dream, then it is not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. Mouth to mouth I speak with him, and clearly, and not in fortune-telling, and he sees the image of the Lord. And why were you not afraid to reproach my servant Moses? And he struck Miriam with leprosy like snow. And the glory of the Lord departed from the tabernacle of the meeting - the disk plane flew away. Moses then begged Yahweh to heal his sister. Yahweh calmed down and fulfilled the request of Moses. Well, what does the heavenly chimera have to do with it?

And now about the nuance about which I spoke a little earlier. Surprises such interesting fact– Yahweh compels the fulfillment of the ten commandments and many others good rules which are generally good. Quite decent by human standards of morality. But this is when it comes to the Jews themselves. within Jewish society. But in relation to other peoples who are not his, you can do whatever you want. Jews are allowed to kill, rob and rape. Directly hatred for the representatives of humanity who do not worship him, and are not subject to him. In the book of numbers ch. 31 interestingly describes the behavior of the Jews in relation to the defeated Midianites. All were killed, burned and plundered the city. They took the women and children of Midian captive. But Moses and Eliazar, going out to meet them, shouted - kill all the male children and women. And all the female children who have not known the male bed, leave alive for yourself. And why? After all, Yahweh ordered it, and Moses only carried it out. What right do you have to divide the people of the Earth into their own and not theirs? Why such a thirst for war and murder? Just got out of the military. Unbalance in character, irascibility, vindictiveness. Is this God who created everything? So primitive. He caused a stir in the Middle East, quarreled between the Arabs and the Jews, and left nothing worthy behind. Compare with the pyramids of Egypt. Compare with Theo Tihuacan in Mexico, with the Baalbek platform in Lebanon. That's where the "gods" have worked! That's where the wonders of technology are. World historians are still in a stupor. Who could do it? What machines and tools were used to cut rocks into pieces of hundreds of thousands of tons. Yes, how they cut it - in a plane. Mounted anywhere on a sheer cliff. On all continents inherited. Those were the gods! And they did not kill people by the tens of thousands. And they were not forced to worship themselves. They taught science, medicine, agriculture. And Yahweh hated those other gods for some reason. He was probably afraid, since Egypt did not destroy. So he messed up, and hid in the desert. And yet Yahweh is a stranger. If he were really omnipotent, he would not be limited to the Arabian desert and the Jews. There are already quite developed peoples and cultures all over the Earth. He didn't even touch them! I wouldn't carry a load like that. Limited to the Middle East. Although he boasted to Moses - All the land is mine! It would be better to say the entire Arabian desert - it would be more honest.

His behavior betrayed his low rank among the truly omnipotent gods. But once on Earth and without competition, he pulled himself off to the fullest. Apparently, cosmic distances and relativistic effects of time during space flights allowed him to somehow fall out of the company of the almighty who visited our planet. And while they flew home, he returned to Earth. Or it was "returned". The fact of his disappearance is interesting. Where did he go with the team? He appears periodically. Yahweh appeared quite openly and symbolically after the completion of the construction of the house of the Lord by King Solomon. That is, according to the term of Solomon's reign, one can calculate the appearance of Yahweh in a given area. “When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices. And the glory of the Lord filled the whole house. And the priests could not enter the house because the house was filled with the radiance of the glory of the Lord. And all the sons of Israel, seeing how fire came down from heaven and the glory of the Lord on the house, fell face down on the ground, on the platform and bowed down. And King Solomon sacrificed twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. Nothing so-so the Jews were delighted. We walked for glory. Interesting - this expression was born from the text of the Testament? So I am not strong in chronology, but the fact is obvious - in the end there came a moment in the history of Israel when Yahweh no longer appears. And why? There may be several reasons for this. He could go home. The aliens have departed. But this Yahweh did not tell any of the prophets - intermediaries. He could finally grow old and die. After all, nothing lasts forever. He could have died in a disk plane crash - also a version. Aircraft sometimes crash. So the question of his disappearance generally remains open. His base on the mountain has not been found so far. Even if they don't look for it at all. And after all, not so much time has passed. And the building was visible. Terrace-like. 250 by 250 meters in size. Also, very cleverly designed. A with south side like city buildings (Ezekiel ch. 40). Maybe flying away ruined everything. He covered his tracks just in case. All that remains of Yahweh is the Old Testament story. But it was written not by Yahweh himself, but by eyewitnesses of those events. Therefore, you have to seriously filter the text. Make allowance for the ignorance of the ancient Jews. On their specific attitude to what happened to them. On the imagery of the description. Although they are great. The accuracy of the description is sufficient for text analysis.

In general, many do not even suspect how interesting it is to disassemble the Old Testament. This is a very interesting activity. Analyzing the texts, you understand that no matter who Yahweh was, he certainly was not the Almighty Creator.
