Life is very changeable and unique. Quite innocent people often find themselves in places of deprivation of will. Sometimes people are arrested who simply had a different opinion than others. Often there are also cases of custom-made setups, when law-abiding people are behind bars.

Even if you are one hundred percent sure of your innocence and do not feel the slightest threat, use prayers from the court and prison to the saints to protect yourself even more. People also turn to such petitions so that an innocent person is not imprisoned, or justified and released. But it also happens when the guilty person tries to avoid punishment.

In this case, you must first repent for all previous sins and only after that read a prayer so that you are not sent to prison.

It is believed that with proper observance of all requirements, one can beg for a suspended sentence or even avoid a sentence. heavenly forces they are always ready to help us, you just need to believe in them and apply not only with requests, but also with gratitude. In addition to our petitions to the Lord, it is also necessary to lead a righteous life: to help others, not to sin, to thank God.

To be released from prison

You can turn to the Heavenly Forces yourself, or you can also for your loved one. There is colossal power in the petitions of the prisoner's relatives for his freedom.

  • The request from the conclusion must be read to the Lord, the Mother of God and the guardian angel.
  • Requests for an early release are most often made in front of the Pochaev Icon.
  • It is considered strong and a prayer from the prison of Anastasia the Solver.

It helps to strengthen morale prisoner, and also gives hope for a speedy release. Even during her lifetime, this saint helped people in prison. She constantly brought them water and food. I tried to comfort and encourage them.

This woman was herself a prisoner in her husband's house. He held her like a slave, tortured her, tortured her. Often Anastasia turned to the Lord with prayers for deliverance from imprisonment, and they were heard.

Petition to Saint Anastasia for those imprisoned:

“O long-suffering and wise great martyr of Christ Anastasia! You stand with your soul in heaven at the Throne of the Lord, on the earth, given to you by grace, you perform various healings: look mercifully on the people who are coming and praying before your relics, asking for your help: extend to the Lord your holy prayers for us, and ask us for forgiveness our sins, healing for the sick, those who mourn and those in need ambulance: implore the Lord, may he give us all a Christian death and a good answer at His Last Judgment, may we be vouchsafed with you to glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen".

Prayer for those in prison to St. Nicholas

For those who are condemned innocently, an appeal to John the Baptist can help. It is read before the court in order to achieve salvation from prison, to be acquitted. One more saint can be asked for help before sentencing - Nicholas the Wonderworker.

It helps in any situation, and if you do not know the words of prayer, then just turn with words from a pure heart and repent of all your sins. About asking for his help in front of the icon should be like this:

“Oh, the great miracle worker and saint of Christ, Saint Father Nicholas! You, ambulance Thou art a gracious intercessor to all who call upon thee, and even more so to those who are in mortal troubles.

Such are the miracles of mercy you showed in the days of your life. When, after your death, you appeared to the Throne of God, according to this no one can count your mercies, even if he had many languages. You keep floating on the waters; You have saved many drowning people.

You keep on the way, even catching the winds, great snow, fierce scum, the greatest rain. You guard houses and estates from the burning of malicious people and the all-term burning. You protect the beings on the way from the attack of the villains.

You help the poor and the poor, delivering them from extreme despondency and fall, for the sake of poverty. You protect the innocent from slander and unjust condemnation. You saved from death itself three men sitting in a dungeon, they were determined not to be cut with a sword.

Taco, you have been given a great grace from God to pray for people and save beings in trouble! You also became famous for your help to people among the unfaithful Hagarites. Can't you help me only, unfortunate and needy, if I myself have prepared this lot for myself?

Protect me, too, from despondency and despair, which are worse than me. Oh, great saint Nicholas! You yourself endured imprisonment in prison for the holy faith, and, like a zealous shepherd of Christ, you yourself knew how hard it is to be deprived of liberty and stay in chains.

Kohl to many who pray to you in bonds, you helped thou! Make it easy for me, sitting in prison, this misfortune. Grant me to soon see the end of my prison stay and receive freedom - not for the sake of continuing my sins, but for the sake of correcting my life!

Pray diligently about this too, if we are to be delivered from eternal dungeons, and with your help we save, I glorify God, marvelous in His saints, amen.

Prayer to Matron the Wonderworker for release from prison

It must always be remembered that no matter what sin a person commits, he must not be deprived of faith! It should always be in every human soul. To escape from imprisonment, you can also ask for intercession from the Matrona of Moscow. Before her face, the following prayer words should be read:

“Blessed Matryonushka, You plucked out the captive doctor Sergius through his prayer from prison, He became Lord Stefan, and remembering You all his life, first of his father and mother, accepted a blessed death in the altar, on the week of the Myrrh-bearing Women.

Look now at the captive, suffering servant of God (name), in his difficult situation.

Begged the Lord of the Force to save him from bondage, with the prayers of the Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow to the glory of Our Lady, the Ever-Virgin Mary, and the bloodless Sacrifice of Her Son, daily offered for the world.

May all his sins be washed away by the blood of the Lamb (3 times).

God bless you!

Prayers to the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia the Destroyer

In the host of Orthodox saints, there are amazing ascetics who are ready to help in the most seemingly difficult and difficult circumstances. human life. One of these saints of God was the Great Martyr Anastasia the Solver, whose feat of love to this day strengthens the faith and instructs many Christians. She received special reverence among people serving time in places of deprivation of liberty. So who does the prayer of the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia the Destroyer help and how to read it correctly?

Who was Saint Anastasia and whom does she help to this day?

During the reign of one of the most formidable rulers of Rome, Diocletian, many Christians suffered. belief true God persecuted, was outlawed, and its supporters were severely punished. Such a fate did not spare the righteous girl Anastasia, whose mother was a secret Christian and managed to instill in her daughter faith in Christ.

The young girl chose a difficult service for herself - in beggarly clothes she made her way to prisons and helped the prisoners languishing there. She was supported by her mentor, the learned and pious man Chrysogon. Many hardships and misfortunes befell the saint, who, moreover, was forcibly married to a pagan.

Until the end of her days, the righteous woman firmly carried her feat of helping the suffering. In the end, the rumor about her reached the cruel ruler Diocletian, and he ordered the execution of the saint of God along with other Christians. So she ended her life path, but to this day, believing Christians resort to her holy intercession and patronage.

Important! Since during her lifetime Anastasia became famous precisely for helping prisoners in prisons, it is those who are serving time who pray to her most of all.

This absolutely means that it is impossible to ask for help in any other sad situation - the Lord hears all our requests that come from a pure heart and with great faith. A kind of “specialization” of saints to help in specific situations is a tradition developed over time and through the prayers of believers.

Nevertheless, Saint Anastasia the Destroyer prays for:

  • release from places of detention;
  • successful outcome of the trial;
  • defense in case of false accusation;
  • lightening the sentence;
  • instruction and enlightenment of the condemned.

In addition, in the practice of Eastern Christianity, it is common to refer to this saint during childbirth.

How to pray?

Very often, novice Christians, who are just beginning to discover Orthodoxy, ask themselves the question of what is the correct prayer to this or that saint. It is widely believed that the correct pronunciation of certain texts is the key to success and the fact that the saint will hear and certainly fulfill the request.

This approach is incorrect in its essence, Orthodoxy is not a rite or magical ritual with a conspiracy. You can pray all day long about anything and still not get any spiritual benefit at all.

Right prayer always begins with a review of one's own life. There is no more senseless occupation than to read the sacred texts without changing at all own life according to the commandments of God and the teaching of the holy Church. If a person mechanically subtracts the text, and then returns to his usual sinful life, he will not receive any spiritual benefit or consolation.

This issue is especially relevant for prisoners. A person serving a term for some crime has all the conditions to repent and receive forgiveness from the Lord. And indeed, the prayer of Anastasia the Solver can greatly help in this. But the first and most important condition is the repentance of the person himself for his deed and the firm intention to correct his life.

Interesting! Among those sentenced to prison, many people discover God for themselves and become sincere believers.

Why is this happening? Sometimes it is much easier for a person who has committed a frank atrocity to repent than for someone who is mired in daily petty sins. On the eve of trial or prison, many people read a prayer to the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia the Destroyer and received tangible help and spiritual reinforcement.

The most important guarantee of prayer that will be heard by God is sincerity and readiness to follow Christ. In the Gospel we see many examples when, after meeting with the Lord, people literally left their former life and followed God, no matter what it cost them.

No one requires a modern worldly person to leave his home and go to the desert to atone for sins. It will be a big thing to start going to church, pray as hard as you can, and, most importantly, change your life. Once again do not swear, once again be patient. Seeing such a desire of a person, the Lord will always help and strengthen in any situation.

Who will not be helped by Saint Anastasia the Destroyer

Unfortunately, even Orthodox Christians often come across a purely practical approach to prayer and going to church. People may not remember God for years, lead a sinful life and not think of repenting. But suddenly a misfortune happens, a person immediately runs to the temple. But he runs not to correct himself and receive forgiveness from God, but runs to solve his pressing problems.

Since Anastasia the Solver is often prayed before the court and from prison, many people offer their prayers to her after the commission of a crime. They can ask the saint so that the guilt is not proven, or that the crime remains completely hidden. At the same time, the criminal himself does not feel anything, except for the desire to go unpunished. Such petitions will never be heard.

Important! If a person resorts to prayer for selfish purposes, completely unrepentant of the evil he has committed, he will never receive God's help, but will only burden his own conscience even more.

In order for the prayer of St. Anastasia the Destroyer of Prison to be heard and bear fruit, a person must acknowledge his deed, repent before God, and accept the punishment that is due to him by law. And pray, completely committing yourself and your future fate into the hands of God. With such an approach and such a repentant heart, a person will surely feel God's help through the prayers of the saint of God Anastasia.

If a person, by his personal choice, decides to hide from the law, not to admit his guilt, tries to avoid a well-deserved punishment, then there is nothing to count on heavenly help. At such moments, many people are disappointed in faith and go even further away from God, believing that He still does not hear them. The Lord hears everyone and everyone, but He cannot save a person without his own desire and work. Therefore, one must always begin with oneself, and then prayer will certainly bear fruit.

The victorious Resurrection, the truly famous one, was named thou, the martyr of Christ, thou hast put victory on the enemies of torment with patience, for Christ's sake, thy Bridegroom, whom thou hast loved. Pray to save our souls.

In the temptations and sorrows of being, flowing to your temple, they accept honest gifts from the Divine grace living in you, Anastasius: you better heal the world.

O long-suffering and wise great martyr of Christ Anastasia! You stand with your soul in heaven at the throne of the Lord, but on the earth, given to you by grace, you perform various healings: look mercifully on the people who are coming and praying before your holy icon, asking for your help: extend to the Lord your holy prayers for us unworthy (names ), and ask us for forgiveness of our sins, sick healing, grieving and needy ambulance: implore the Lord, may he give us all a Christian death and a good answer at His terrible judgment, may we also be able to glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit with you in ages of ages. Amen.

Forerunner and Baptist of Christ John, preacher of repentance! You were innocently planted in prison: but, thrown into this misfortune, worthy of my deeds, I accept, like a criminal of truth and law. Instill in my heart a sense of repentance for my sins! There is no more than a single malice or lawlessness, even I, accursed, did not deed; fear my sins. Truth teacher! Teach me the right to speak about myself before judges. Do not stop in the dungeon to expose the lawless Herod, grant me, but most of all, my conscience convicts me here, but from the denunciation of it I will not be able to hide my crime for a long time. If I am condemned to be punished, grant me to be patient, as if you yourself patiently bear the beheading of your head, desired by Herodias. Hey, the Baptist of Christ! Stretch out, thy servant, the hand that baptized Christ my Savior, and draw me out of the depths of perdition. You are the greatest of all in those born of women, you are the first according to the Mother of God, the righteous among men. For this reason, I resort to you az, having the need for a great intercessor, for I am a great sinner. Ubo and may it overshadow me, unworthy, your grace, Forerunner of the Lord.

Saint Peter of Athos.

Thou hast left the world, Petre, for the Lord's sake, and we will perceive the cross on our own frame, thou hast reached Mount Athos, like Elijah the Thesbite of old. And in it, staying with fasting, and prayers, and vigilance, creating merciful God, and offering the Most Pure Mother of God the Molebnitsa, for this sake we cry out to you: pray to Christ God, may save our souls.

Having removed human cohabitation for yourself in stone caves and clefts, you lived with the desire of the Divine and love, Peter, your Lord, from the Worthless you received the crown. Pray unceasingly for us to be saved.

Prayer to the Great Martyr Anastasia, called the "Decimaler".

O long-suffering and wise great martyr of Christ Anastasia! You stand with your soul in heaven at the Throne of the Lord, on the earth, given to you by grace, you perform various healings: look mercifully on the people who are coming and praying before your relics, asking for your help: extend to the Lord your holy prayers for us, and ask us for forgiveness our sins, sick healing, grieving and needy ambulance: pray to the Lord, may he give us all a Christian death and a good answer at His Last Judgment, may we be honored with you to glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer of a prisoner to the guardian angel.

Angel of God, stand before me from the font of holy baptism! Koliko az, I grieved you with evil thoughts, bad words and shameful deeds in my life! Who, not remembering, as the imam of thee given to me from the guardian God. Whenever I got drunk with wine, or danced without a cold, or in fornication, theft and mischief, dependent on my life: and in these days you did not leave me, but only, like a pure spirit, you were sad about me, an indecent slave. If a multiplicity of people was close to death itself, do criminal deeds and do not at all think of appearing suddenly as God the Judge! Death is not beyond me then: and we know that you have turned me away from me. So take me out guarding me, and I am not alone, I always live alone in this prison, but with you, my guardian. Even if I don’t see you with bodily eyes, you always dwell on my accursed soul and body. Like the sun, passing through a filthy place, is not defiled, so you, the luminous Angel of God, do not disdain my stench, but never leave me in this dungeon. Keep me healthy at night and impregnable in a dream to the devil's temptation. Get rid of my sleeplessness. Accompany me, in days, for every hour, in all my entrances and exits. Grant me a fortress bodily forces, hedgehog to bear the bitter work, as a punishment imposed on me, but more bitter because of their fault. Protect me from the malice of demons, who fiercely attack my soul: for demons flee from a single wave of your right hand. Most of all, take away from me spiritual confusion and harmful murmuring: this one is more confused in heart, I don’t want to look favorably on anyone or anything, and I’m always upset here. Grant to my eyes tears for sins, but quiet speech to my lips. Do not step away from me, holy Angel, and when my soul begins to part from the body, but stand by my mortal bed, quiet and joyful; for then the imam will see you near the being. Do not leave my soul even later, if you were betrayed by God to be blameless, but even after my death I should be judged, as if defiled by many sins. Oh my keeper! Call then to pray for me and other incorporeal forces, but by your intercession I will have mercy, a sinful slave (name), forever and ever, amen!

Prayer of a prisoner to the Mother of God.

The prayer of a prisoner in a prisoner's dungeon.

Creation of St. Philaret of Moscow.

Lord God, my Creator and Savior! Blessed be your holy name. Thanksgiving and glory to Thee, O Lord, for all the good ones, even received from Thee in this life. Now I have found sorrow and sickness, and I call on Your Name. Reproach attacked me. Lay me in the ditch of the underworld, in the dark and shadows of death. I mourn for this; and according to this sorrow, I understand that I have sinned against Thee, and because of my sin I have come upon me troubles; for Thy righteous do not lose heart, and in prisons I sing to Thee, and rejoice in suffering. And if you see iniquity, Lord, Lord, who will stand? As if there is no man, do not sin. But You, Lord, bear the sins of the whole world, and cleanse by repentance. I believe that you will not cast me a sinner from Your presence. For the whole world, Your Only Begotten Son poured out His Divine Blood. I believe that he can and will wash me from my sins. For this reason I say with David: Let us confess my iniquity against me. You, as Good, leave the wickedness of my heart. I am afraid of the judgment and condemnation of man: but most of all, let the fear of Your unwashed judgment and eternal condemnation be in my heart. If unrighteousness rises up against me, I dare to pray to Thee with the word of David, hear, O Lord, my righteousness and attend to my judgment, and deliver me by Thy righteousness. But if I have done iniquity, heal my iniquity by Thy mercy. Do not let my heart deviate into words of deceit, to conceal the truth, and to false justification. Help me and understand, and hate my unrighteousness: love the truth, and in truth find relief for my soul. Lighten the burden of my distress. And if I am destined to bear it, let me bear it with patience, for the sake of the cleansing of my sins, and for the sake of the propitiation of Your justice. If shame will cover me before certain people: let me endure with humility, let me have mercy on you, Lord, let me not be ashamed before the face of this world on the Last Judgment yours.

I come to You mournful and sad: do not deprive me of spiritual consolation.

I come to Thee darkened: reveal the light of the hope of salvation.

I fall down to Thee, exhausted: raise me up and confirm me by Thy grace.

Above all, grant me a desire, and help me, Lord, to do Your will in everything, so that in the world of conscience I will glorify Your Holy Name, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

As often happens in life, an unexpected misfortune can overtake a person “out of the blue”. The world is unfair, and an innocent person can be condemned for a crime he did not commit. It is not uncommon for someone to become a victim of an unjust trial by an absurd accident, a slander, or involuntarily turn from a witness into an accused.

Whom to look for help if the truth is not found on earth? One way is to contact Anastasia the Solver, ask her for support and intercession.

Who is she?

The father of the future saint, a rich and noble Roman, was a pagan, and his mother secretly professed Christianity. Therefore, under her influence, Anastasia from childhood mastered the basics of the Christian faith, and in her youth she became a student of the pious and highly educated Christian Chrysogonus.

When the girl's mother died, her father married her to a certain Pomplius, who was also a pagan. Not wanting to be defiled, Anastasia pleaded a fictitious illness and kept her virginity.

She decided to devote her whole life to serving the prisoners languishing in prisons, among whom were many Christians. It was the beginning of the IV century - the time of the reign of Emperor Diocletian, the persecutor of adherents of the Christian faith.

The girl dressed in beggarly rags and, accompanied by one maid, went to the dungeons, where brought food and drink, bandaged wounds, and sometimes freed fellow believers with the help of a ransom.

It is not known for what reasons, but the maid told Pompilius about these visits, and he, severely beating Anastasia, locked her in the house. Spiritual support for the captive was a secret correspondence with the teacher.. Chrysogon instructed her in patience, thoughts about the Cross of Christ, preparing her for fearless service to Him.

In one of the letters, he predicted that Anastasia's husband would soon die at sea. After some time, this happened: Pomplius, who was sailing on a ship as part of an embassy to Persia, actually drowned.

This untied the young widow's hands, and Anastasia generously helped those in need, especially Christian prisoners.

Pagans have always been amazed at how steadfastly Christians endure all tortures and tortures.. Diocletian was informed of this, who in a rage ordered to execute all the followers of the Christian teachings who were in Roman prisons overnight, while Chrysogonus was sent to him. And Anastasia went after the spiritual mentor.

During a personal interrogation, the emperor demanded that Chrysogon renounce the Christian faith, but, not having achieved the desired, ordered him to be beheaded and the remains to be thrown into the depths of the sea. However, the waves carried them ashore, where they were found by the pious presbyter Zoilus. Having laid the remains of the martyr in the ark, he hid them in his dwelling.

Chrysogon prophesied even after his death. So, he appeared to Zoilus and warned that danger threatened three young Christian women who lived nearby, and ordered Anastasia to be sent to them so that she would spiritually strengthen them before the coming trials. And Saint Anastasia at the same time indicated in a vision the way to Zoilus.

After three girls, having buried them in fulfillment of the will of the teacher, Anastasia went on a journey. During these years, she mastered the art of medicine, which helped her even more selflessly serve those in prison. It was this daily feat of hers that bestowed on the saint the name of the Setter of Patterns, i.e. "lightening the bonds" - fetters, shackles.

The young pious widow Theodotia became Anastasia's faithful assistant. They visited prisons together and then were persecuted together.

When once again, on the orders of Diocletian, all the prisoners who professed Christ were destroyed in the dungeons in one night, Anastasia, having come to prison and not finding anyone there, burst into tears, mourning them. The prison officers guessed that she was also a Christian, and seized her and took her to the governor of this area..

The scenario of all interrogations among the pagans was the same: at first they tried to persuade them to renounce by threats or, conversely, by promises, and then they resorted to torture. So it was with Anastasia. Having not achieved a result, the ruler handed it over to Ulpian, the Capitoline priest.

The insidious priest decided to "play on contrasts": on the one hand, he put jewelry, gold, luxurious clothes, and on the other, frightening instruments for torture, offering the Christian such a choice.

Resistant in her faith, Anastasia did not covet wealth and chose torture. However, her time had not yet come, and the Lord was pleased to prolong her selfless service to the suffering. The beauty of the girl did not go unnoticed by the priest, and he desired her. But, even before he had time to touch her, the tormentor was immediately deprived of sight.

Overwhelmed by despair and pain, the Capitoline priest rushed to run to the sanctuary of the pagans, begging the idols for help, but did not have time to run - he fell on the road and died.

After being released, Anastasia, together with her faithful companion Theodotia, continued their ascetic activity. But soon Theodotia, along with her three sons, were captured and, after long tortures, which they endured with courage, were thrown into a red-hot furnace.

Anastasia was also arrested for the second time. She was sentenced to starvation. She spent two months in a dungeon without food.. Every night the spiritual strength of the prisoner was strengthened by Theodotia, who appeared to her. Seeing that this execution did not harm Anastasia, the judge issued a new verdict: drown the saint along with 120 real criminals. Among the condemned was the persecuted Christian Eutychian.

The execution took place in this way: the ship with those sentenced to death was taken out to sea. The warrior-guards, having previously drilled holes in its bottom and sides, moved into the boat. However, this sentence was not destined to be fulfilled: Theodotia appeared to the condemned and sent the ship to the shore, which he safely reached.

Struck by this miracle, all the prisoners believed in the truth of Christianity, and Anastasia and Eutychian baptized them. But they still had to glorify themselves with new trials. After some time, all the new converts were captured, tortured and sentenced to martyrdom.

Saint Anastasia was stretched out in the form of a cross between four pillars, and a fire was laid out below. However, the fire did not damage her body, and it was buried in the garden by a pious woman named Apollinaria.

In the 5th century, the incorruptible relics of the Great Martyr Anastasia were transferred to Constantinople. A temple was built here in her name. Later, not far from the Holy Mount Athos, the monastery of Anastasia the Desolder was created, and her head and right hand.

What are they praying for?

Already on the basis of the facts of the life of the saint, it can be assumed that she is prayed to in situations where help is needed related to permission from bonds:

  • Those who are imprisoned ask for the release of these very bonds.
  • Pious Christians - about the conversion to the Savior of those who have committed a serious crime, as well as those who have gone astray.
  • Those who are aware of their deeds and repent of them can ask for speedy release.
  • About a fair trial - before the trial, in order to avoid imprisonment.

Pregnant women can also ask for a safe "permission from the bonds", since expectant mothers are also under the patronage of the saint. They pray to her during the bearing of the child and during childbirth.

They turn to the Great Martyr Anastasia in every need, praying for relatives and friends, for body and soul.

Icon and prayers

O long-suffering and wise great martyr of Christ Anastasia! You stand with your soul in heaven at the throne of the Lord, and on earth, by the grace given to you, you perform various healings. Look mercifully on us, the unworthy (names), asking for your help: extend to the Lord your holy prayers for us, and ask us for the remission of our sins, sick healing, those who are grieving and in need of an ambulance; pray to the Lord, may he give us all a Christian death and a good answer at His Last Judgment, may we be honored with you to glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

If the judgment has already taken place, the verdict has been announced or the person is already serving time, it is useful for prisoners to read such a prayer:

Saint Anastasia, the Patterner! Help me in my sorrow, do not leave me with your mercy. Soul on the heavenly throne standing, tasting the Lord's mercy! Rest with the face of the saints on the walls of a gloomy prison and let me, the servant of God (servant of God) (name), taste the pleasure of the glory of God. Look with your eye on the one standing before you, stretch out my prayers to the Lord and ask my soul for forgiveness of sins. For my iniquity, I do not dare to lift my eyes to the heights of heaven, to disturb the Almighty with my prayer. Be my intercessor, I call you as a prayer book for my past sins. You accepted grace from the Mother of God to heal passions and drive out sorrows, so bow down over the prisoner, be his comforter in sorrows, healer in fierce ailments and protector in attacks. Do not despise me, unworthy, intercede with God for grace for the one who loves you. In the name of God, one in the Trinity, the Holy Glorious Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever and forever and ever. Amen. Amen. Amen.

There is no more senseless occupation than reading sacred texts without changing one's own life at all in accordance with the Commandments of God and the teachings of the Holy Church.

Unfortunately, even among Orthodox Christians there is often a purely practical approach to prayer and going to church. People may not remember God for years, lead a sinful life and not think of repenting. But suddenly a misfortune happens, a person immediately runs to the temple. But he runs not to correct himself and receive forgiveness from God, but runs to solve his pressing problems.

Holy Great Martyr Anastasia the Destroyer

Since Anastasia the Solver is often prayed before the court and from prison, many people offer their prayers to her after the commission of a crime. They can ask the saint so that the guilt is not proven, or that the crime remains completely hidden. At the same time, the criminal himself does not feel anything, except for the desire to go unpunished. Such petitions will never be heard.

On repentance in Orthodoxy:

With such an approach and such a repentant heart, a person will definitely feel God's help through the prayers of God's saint Anastasia.

Prayers to the Holy Great Martyr Anastasia the Destroyer

In the host of Orthodox saints there are amazing ascetics who are ready to help in the most seemingly difficult and difficult circumstances of human life.

Belief in the true God was persecuted, outlawed, and its adherents were severely punished.

So she ended her life, but to this day, believing Christians resort to her holy intercession and patronage.

  • release from places of detention;
  • successful outcome of the trial;
  • defense in case of false accusation;
  • lightening the sentence;

This approach is incorrect in its essence, Orthodoxy is not a rite or a magical ritual with a conspiracy. You can pray all day long about anything and still not get any spiritual benefit at all.

Prayers to the saints

Memory: December 22 / January 4

She was the daughter of a wealthy and noble Roman. With all her estate she served the prisoners of prisons, among whom there were many Christians. For her mercy and selfless service, the prisoners called her the Setter of Patterns, i.e. "lightening the fetters." When she was recognized as a Christian, she was tortured. They pray to the Holy Great Martyr for the relief of the bonds of those in captivity, for the conversion to Christ of those who have gone astray and fallen into grave crimes.

The Life of Anastasia the Solver and Prayer to Her

As often happens in life, an unexpected misfortune can overtake a person “out of the blue”. The world is unfair, and an innocent person can be condemned for a crime he did not commit. It is not uncommon for someone to become a victim of an unjust trial by an absurd accident, a slander, or involuntarily turn from a witness into an accused.

Whom to look for help if the truth is not found on earth? One way is to pray to Anastasia the Solver, ask her for support and intercession.

When the girl's mother died, her father gave her in marriage to a certain Pomplius, who was also a pagan.

After the death of three girls, having buried them in fulfillment of the will of the teacher, Anastasia went on a journey.

Later, not far from the Holy Mount Athos, the monastery of Anastasia the Solver was created, and her head and right hand were transferred there.

They turn to the Great Martyr Anastasia in every need, praying for relatives and friends, for health of body and soul.

Amen. Amen. Amen.

The Holy Great Martyr Anastasia, a Roman by birth, suffered for Christ during the persecution under Diocletian. Her father was a pagan, her mother a secret Christian. Saint Anastasia's teacher in her youth was the pious and educated Christian Chrysogonus. After the death of his wife, the father gave Saint Anastasia to the pagan Pomplius, but under the pretext of a fictitious illness, she preserved her virginity.

Disguised as a beggar, accompanied by only one maid, she visited the dungeons: she fed, treated, and often redeemed the prisoners who suffered for their faith in Christ. When the maid told Pomplia about everything, he subjected his wife to torture and locked her at home. Then Saint Anastasia began to secretly correspond with Chrysogonus, who urged the saint to arm herself with patience, to cleave with all her thought to the Cross of Christ, preparing herself for the service of the Lord, and predicted the imminent death of Pomplia at sea. Some time later, on his way to Persia with an embassy, Pomplius actually drowned. After the death of her husband, Saint Anastasia began to generously distribute her property to the poor and suffering.

Diocletian was informed that the Christians, with whom the dungeons of Rome are filled, steadfastly endure torment. Then he ordered to kill all of them in one night, and send Chrysogonus to him in Aquileia. Saint Anastasia followed her teacher from a distance.

The emperor personally interrogated Chrysogonus, but failing to persuade him to renounce, he ordered that his head be cut off and thrown into the sea. The body and the truncated head of the holy martyr were washed ashore by the waves. According to Divine revelation, a certain presbyter Zoilus found them and, putting them in an ark, hid them at home. Then Saint Chrysogonus appeared to Zoilus and revealed to him that the martyrdom of Agapia, Chionia and Irene, young Christian women who lived nearby, was approaching, and commanded that Saint Anastasia be sent to them. Chrysogon himself predicted a quick peaceful death for Zoilus himself. Also in a vision, Chrysogon showed Saint Anastasia the way to Zoilus. Arriving at the presbyter, she prayed at the relics of Saint Chrysogonus, and then spiritually strengthened the three virgins before being tortured. When the martyrs gave their souls to the Lord, she herself buried them.

Having fulfilled what her teacher had bequeathed, the saint began to wander. Having mastered the art of medicine by that time, she zealously served the prisoners everywhere. Through her deeds, Saint Anastasia acquired for herself the name of the Setter of Patterns, since by her many labors she freed many confessors of the Name of Christ from the heavy bonds of long-term suffering.

Once she met the pious young widow Theodotia and found in her a faithful helper. Soon both were persecuted. Saint Anastasia was seized when she was in Illyria. After all the Christian prisoners had been exterminated in one night by the order of Diocletian, Saint Anastasia came to one of the dungeons and, not finding anyone there, began to sob loudly. The jailers realized that she was a Christian and took her to the governor of the region, who tried to persuade the saint to renounce Christ, threatening her with torture, and then handed her over to the Capitoline priest Ulpian. The crafty priest offered Saint Anastasia a choice between luxury, wealth, and grievous suffering, placing gold, precious stones, and clothes in front of her on the one hand, and terrible instruments of torture on the other. Pagan treachery was put to shame by the bride of Christ - Saint Anastasia rejected wealth and chose instruments of torture. But the Lord extended the path of the earthly feat of the saint. Wounded by the beauty of Anastasia, the priest decided to desecrate her purity, but at the first desire to touch her, he suddenly became blind. Mad with pain, he rushed to the pagan temple, crying out to the idols for help, but on the way he fell and died. Saint Anastasia was released and, together with Theodotia, again devoted herself to the service of suffering Christians. Soon Saint Theodotia and her three sons received martyrdom. Her eldest son Evod bravely held himself before the judge and meekly endured the beatings. After much torture, they were all thrown into a red-hot furnace.

Saint Anastasia was captured a second time and sentenced to starvation. She spent 60 days in prison without food. Saint Theodotia appeared every night to the martyr and strengthened her. Seeing that the famine did no harm to Saint Anastasia, the judge ordered her to be drowned along with convicted criminals. Among these people was one persecuted for Christian faith Eutychian.

When the ship went out to sea, the soldiers drilled holes in it, and they themselves moved into the boat. Saint Theodotia appeared to the prisoners and led the ship to the shore. Coming to land, miraculously saved 120 people believed in Christ and were baptized by Saints Anastasia and Eutychian. Soon they were all captured and given to martyrdom. Saint Anastasia was stretched crosswise between four pillars over a bonfire. Her body, not damaged by fire, was buried by a certain pious woman Apollinaria in the garden. In the 5th century, the relics of Saint Anastasia were transferred to Constantinople, where a temple was built in her name. Later, the head and right hand of the great martyr were transferred to the monastery of St. Anastasia the Destroyer, created not far from Mount Athos.
