Per aspera ad astra tattoo. Tattoos with translation: the best sketches (photo)

In search suitable tattoo, inscriptions in Latin with translation are far from the last place. The fashion for meaningless drawings has passed, and now people decorate the body consciously so that they do not have to get rid of the image in a few years.

Why exactly Latin?

Latin is one of the few languages that has survived from antiquity. Today it is official in the Vatican and accepted catholic church, but is considered dead, as it is not used in colloquial speech. The greatest minds of mankind spoke this language, so many aphorisms in Latin have survived to our time, which are in demand and respect. In Russia, it is used in rare cases, for example, in the designation of medical terms.

People who want to get a tattoo comprehend its meaning so that the image does not get tired over the years. Latin inscriptions are ideal for hiding the meaning of a tattoo from others.

What to do? Choose an inscription from a variety of existing ones or come up with your own? What handwriting to use to make the tattoo look beautiful? What part of the body to apply? All questions have answers.

Ideas for tattoo inscriptions

For Latin inscriptions on the body, the main thing is the semantic load. Only a long choice of a meaningful phrase will lead to success. The expression can motivate, remind you of significant moments, life goals and priorities, but should not get bored. By piercing the body, you reveal to the world a part of your soul and moral values. What to choose for yourself?

Love

For many people, the priority in life is love and family. It is possible to imprint on the body in Latin the names of relatives (children, spouse), wedding vows and beautiful aphorisms. Among them the most popular are:

  • Magna res est amor - "Love is a great thing."
  • Amor Vincit Omnia - Love conquers all.
  • Amor et honor - "Love and honor."
  • Si vis amari ama - If you want to be loved, love yourself.
  • Dum spiro, amo atque credo - "I love and believe while I breathe."
  • Finis vitae, sed non amoris - "Life ends, but not love."

life philosophy

To achieve your goals, you need to follow the rules. The life motto, which you always remember, gives strength to work, the implementation of plans, the eternal struggle. Here are some of the relevant sayings:

  • Suum cuique - "To each his own."
  • Silentium - "Silence".
  • Procul negotiis - "Away with trouble."
  • Per aspera ad astra - Through hardships to the stars.
  • Vivere militare est - "To live is to fight."
  • Experientia est optima magis - Experience is the best teacher.

Women's inscriptions

The tenderness and sensuality of female nature differs from male rudeness. You can emphasize your sophistication and love of beauty with the following phrases:

  • Sancta sanctorum - Holy of Holies.
  • Amat victoria curam - "Victory loves care."
  • O fallacem hominum spem! “How deceptive is human hope!”
  • Abo in pace - "Go in peace."
  • Cantus cycneus - "Swan song".
  • Contra spem spero - "I hope without hope."

Reminders of the Transience of Life

People who value their life and value it always remember death. Such tattoos give impetus to constant development, because you need to do everything. Death tattoos are relevant among people whose lives hung in the balance:

  • Cave! - "Be careful!"
  • Fatum - "Fate".
  • Jus vitae ac necis - "The right to dispose of life and death."
  • Malo mori quam foedari - "Dishonor is worse than death."
  • Me quoque fata regunt - "Rock subdued me."
  • Via sacra - "Holy way".

thoughts of freedom

Freedom-loving people value rebelliousness and the possibility of independent choice. For them, there is also a selection of Latin inscriptions for tattoos:

  • Homo liber - "Free man".
  • Non bene pro toto libertas venditur auro - "Shameful to sell freedom for gold."
  • Vita sine libertate, nihil - "Life without freedom is nothing."
  • Liberum arbitrium indifferentiae - "Absolute freedom of choice."
  • In arte libertas - "Freedom in art."

Summing up, it is safe to say that each person is individual and can find a Latin winged expression to his liking. Like tattoos, they look harmonious and filled with meaning.

Advice! Before getting a tattoo, answer the questions: what life values do you have, aspirations, what situation do you want to capture in what language and body parts. After talking with yourself, it becomes clear whether a tattoo is needed or whether it is dictated by fashion trends.

How to choose a font?

It is not enough to choose a saying filled with meaning for the image on the body. The tattoo should look beautiful and attract attention.

Tattoo artists offer 2-3 times more Latin fonts than Russian ones, because they are more popular. Chooses tattooed: ancient or modern font, print or script, pretentiousness and roundness or severity and angularity, gothic, medieval and other fonts conquer with variety.

Modern tattoo parlors on websites offer to choose a font for a tattoo in Latin online. To use the service, you need to enter an inscription in Latin in a special field. After that, a palette of fonts will appear that you can try on the saying.

If you decide to fill the tattoo in the salon, on the website of which you select the font, you can immediately send the completed form to the master. If there is another salon in the city, just print the image for clarity.

Advice! Spend no less time choosing a font than the inscriptions. For outsiders, the form is more important than the content, so the tattoo needs to look stylish and harmonious.

I'll get a tattoo on this and that

When the inscription for the tattoo is chosen, a fair question arises: where will it look best? Hide or not? How to arrange long text so that it is beautiful?

In the case of a tattoo, you always need to choose a part of the body on which the inscription will look harmonious. It also depends on the pain threshold of a person and the ability to tolerate the effects of a tattoo machine.

  • Hands are the most popular for tattooing. Shoulder, palm, hand, fingers - where to fill the inscription? Masters do not recommend placing a large inscription on these parts of the body. If the Latin aphorism can be read even in the photo, it is better to abandon the idea, as the employer may be confused by the fact of having a tattoo.
  • Tattoos on the wrists are not worn well, so it is better to refuse the idea.
  • The back becomes a real tattoo board. Among the advantages, tattooed people distinguish weak pain and a simple opportunity to hide the inscription. The zone is suitable for tattooing long and large phrases.
  • The belly as a place for a tattoo is not the best the best solution. During pregnancy or when gaining weight, the inscription may be distorted. The rule also applies to the femoral zone.
  • The leg is also open to the creativity of the tattoo artist. On the top of the foot, the image does not look vulgar, it can be easily hidden from others. On the lower leg, pain is intensified, as there are many nerve endings.
  • It is also important to consider that tattoos do not stick on the surface of the foot that is in contact with the floor and on the palms.
  • Very painful parts of the body - chest and chest (for girls), sacrum (for guys), shoulder blades, elbows, armpits and perineum.

Advice! Choose a master by portfolio. He may be a drawing genius, but not able to work with fonts. Look for someone who does amazing work as the tattoo will last a lifetime.

Star tattoo inscriptions

Music and film stars follow fashion trends and also decorate their bodies with meaningful Latin inscriptions. Thus, they attract the attention of the public, deciphering the meaning of sayings, and also emphasize their own individuality.

Ksenia Borodina, after the birth of her first daughter, pinned her name on her hand. The idea was spied on by Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, who did not make a single unconscious tattoo. Even their location on the body is symbolic.

Lera Kudryavtseva has an inscription on her back, which means “Both in body and soul”, and on her wrist - “The main thing in life is love.”

The advantage of tattoo inscriptions is that they are endowed with meaning. They look stylish, original and beautiful if you choose the right font. As a minus, one can single out the illiteracy of the tattoo master, who can make a mistake in writing the Latin letter.

Advice! Carefully check the spelling of each letter. The master may make a mistake, and the meaning of the inscription will be spoiled.

What do the tattooed think?

The decisive factor in applying the first tattoo is the feedback from the owners of Latin inscriptions on the body.

Alina, 25 years old: I have the inscription Gaudeamus igitur, juvenes dum sumus on my lower leg. Translated, it means "Let's have fun while we're young." Many who know the meaning of the words ask what will happen when I grow old. I will remember my reckless youth and be proud of myself. Although, I think, even at 70 I will feel like 20. For three years I have not got tired of the tattoo.

Elvira, 32: At 22, I was hit by a car, and I was on the verge of death. Long-term rehabilitation, the love of relatives and the desire to live put me on my feet. Since then, I have had the inscription Memento mori on my shoulder. When it's hard for me, the tattoo reminds me of the value of life and gives me the strength to pull myself together. Literal translation: "Memento Mori".

Margarita, 28 years old: I always thought that I was lucky in life. Therefore, under my chest I have a small inscription Audaces fortuna juvat, which is significant for me - luck accompanies the brave. Never regretted getting a tattoo. Rather than stuffing a drawing on the floor of the body, it is better to choose a short but accurate saying that characterizes a person.

Alexandra, 30 years old: I have been tattooing for about five years. Recent times Latin inscriptions are in huge demand, and I can see why. Their meaning is important to the owner. It becomes a real talisman for a person.

Summarizing what has been said, we can conclude that people put inscriptions on the body that tell about the character of a person.

Do you have a tattoo? We look forward to your comments!

The Russian language is rich in various phraseological units. There are a huge number of expressions that are used, intuitively understanding what they mean, but very rarely think about the actual origin or correct pronunciation, not to mention the adequate literary application. A striking example is catchphrase: "Through hardship to the stars". What does this mean and why exactly did these words come into circulation? These questions are quite interesting both from the point of view of colloquial use and in relation to literary use.

Origin

The roots of this expression usually refer to the famous Latin Per aspera ad astra, which, in turn, is attributed to Lucius Seneca, who used it in his work Hercules Furious. The Roman philosopher, who lived at the beginning of the first century AD, was one of the brightest representatives of Stoicism.

This line of thought obliges followers to maintain a firm position, despite any blows of fate. Apparently, this inclines scientists to point to the source of the words of Seneca, who, as you know, was not only a strict follower of the teachings of Stoicism, but also went to his death so as not to change his convictions, taking his wife at the same time. Indeed, it is not often in our times that one comes across such conviction in one's philosophical position.

Through thorns to the stars: what does it mean?

Returning to the quoted phrase: Per aspera ad astra, one can see the meaning originally invested in it. In translation, it sounds something like this: "to the stars, overcoming difficulties on the way." Indeed, there is a clear stoic position. Another variant found in the translations of Hercules is "the path from the earth to the stars is not smooth." However, these are already nuances of interpretation within the framework of the language into which the literary work is translated. Be that as it may, this is where the main meaning of the phraseological phrase “Through thorns to the stars” follows. What this means for Seneca himself can be guessed simply from the Stoic way of thinking and the corresponding attitude to the life of the author.

Obviously, this is an upward movement towards the goal of one's existence, its achievement with the involvement of all the forces released to man by nature, despite obstacles, large or small. After all, this is the meaning of life for a true Stoic. We should also mention the appearance in the Russian version of the turnover of the interesting word "thorns". It means a thorn, a plant with thorns, and also in figuratively difficulty, adversity, etc. It is not so easy to walk along a road overgrown with such plants. Apparently, this word was added to enhance the effect. It is this variant that has been fixed in the Russian language.

Consider the following nuance associated with the popular expression "Through hardships to the stars." What does it mean if we imagine that the stars are not a goal, but something practically unattainable, a fantasy? What, in general, are the stars for a person on present stage technology development. In this case, another interpretation appears, which is rarely mentioned in phraseological dictionaries. Namely: a worthy, but seemingly unattainable goal gives rise to even more difficult obstacles.

However, the moments of interpretation are not all the material that can be considered within the framework of the title of the article. Indeed, so far the emphasis has been only on the meaning of the phrase “Through thorns to the stars” (what does it mean).

Pronunciation

In colloquial speech, and not only, a variety of this phraseological unit is often found. Instead of "through" is used "through". In general, the variation is quite legitimate, although it is sometimes considered incorrect, since it is the first one that is offered in dictionaries. Do not deceive the reader by answering unambiguously what is right and how is not. After all, this is just a stable expression, and changes in the language are often so fleeting that this stability of phraseological units in fact turns out to be rather unsteady.

But let us return to our statement "Through thorns to the stars." What does it mean? The property of combining words, from the point of view of pronunciation, is very unstable. As a rule, in a conversation, people rarely use this saying in the form in which we presented it. Our phrase sounds better with the word "through", paradoxical as it may seem.

Conclusion

This material does not pretend to be a full-fledged analysis of all the nuances when answering the question: “Through hardships to the stars: what does this mean?”. The type of information offered does not have an edifying purpose, but only gives a generally accepted interpretation.

Plot

XXIII century. Patrol long-range reconnaissance ship "Pushkin" discovers in space a dead ship of unknown origin, on it are the corpses of humanoid creatures artificially bred by cloning. One of the clones, a girl of about 18 years old by earthly standards, turns out to be alive thanks to the spacesuit in which she was apparently at the time of the ship's death. At the quarantine near-Earth station, the Commission on Contacts decides the fate of the alien. Exobiologist Nadezhda Ivanova insists on the isolation and comprehensive study of the clone at the Institute of Space Genetics, since the purpose of breeding alien humanoids in vitro is unknown. However, the commission takes the side of Sergey Lebedev, a specialist in contacts with an alien mind, who offers to settle an alien in his house under his own responsibility, since he is sure that communication with the human family is more productive to establish contact. Nadezhda Ivanova is tasked with biocontrol over the creature.

The girl lives in Lebedev's house, settles in his family, consisting of elderly parents of Sergei (father is an oceanologist, mother is a professor of medicine, obstetrician) and his son Stepan, a cadet of the Space Institute. Soon, thanks to the efforts of Sergei, a long-awaited contact is established - Niya (as the girl calls herself) begins to communicate with others. As a result of this communication, some superhuman abilities of the alien are revealed, such as instantaneous reaction, telekinesis, teleportation. Extraordinary abilities, inhuman strength and endurance manifest themselves independently in emergency situations. At the same time, clear signs of amnesia are visible - Niya can tell almost nothing about herself. Only sometimes separate episodes of the past emerge in the girl's brain: father-professor, sisters and brothers-clones in the laboratory, acid rains, poisoned soil and water. Over and over again, memories from the past are superimposed on Niya's prosperous earthly present, influencing her actions. Meanwhile, Nadezhda discovers an artificially implanted "obedience center" in Niya's brain, by influencing which with a certain radiation, you can completely control her.

Niya like it earthly life and earthlings, but the thought does not leave her that she was created for some important mission and must fulfill it. Soon, chance helps to resolve her torment. On television, they show a report about the visit of envoys from the planet Dessa. They flew in to ask earthlings for help: all natural resources have been wasted on Dessa and the biosphere has been destroyed, the population has no water and air, people are in danger of imminent death. Seeing one of the messengers, Rakan, Niya recognizes him and remembers that her home planet is Dessa. The girl makes a decision: to return to her native planet.

Niya infiltrates the ship Astra, sent on a cesspool mission to Dessa. The crew includes her acquaintances: Nadezhda Ivanova, who is one of the specialists sent to Dessa, and the trainee Stepan Lebedev, who was late for his long-range reconnaissance ship and transferred to the Astra. On the same ship, Rakan and his colleague Torquay return home. On the way to Dessa, the Astra encounters the dead Gaia, the ship in which Niya was found a year ago. Rakan and Torquay recognize it as the ship of a prominent scientist from Dessa, Professor Glan. Risking her life, Niya teleports to Gaia and disables the "Call of Glan" - the installation for controlling and tracking clones. Stepan saves her from inevitable death.

The envoys finally reveal to the earthlings the secret of the dead laboratory ship, Professor Glan, and Niya's past. Glan really wanted to save Dessa from an ecological catastrophe, but no longer believing that the inhabitants of the planet could do it, he created artificial people, endowing them with superpowers so that they could stop Dessa's death by force. Misunderstood by his compatriots, Glan was forced to flee Dessa on the last laboratory spacecraft, hoping to return when his friends come to power and give a signal to return. However, the signal never arrived. When the ship's food and fuel supplies ran out, Glan decided to return, but the return did not happen - judging by the preliminary analyzes of the earthlings, the Gaia was blown up.

Once on Dessa, earthlings begin an operation to clean up the planet. But they are opposed by the local oligarch Turanchoks, who is afraid of losing profits from the sale of gas masks, masks, air, water, food, and with them real power and might. The people of Turanchoks, led by Torquay, plant an aggressive chemical reagent in the last active water source and accuse the earthlings of spoiling the water, inciting discontent among the population. However, the earthlings save the source, and then successfully carry out the first stage of sewage, condensing the deadly atmosphere of Dessa with plasma discharges, while at the same time showing the blue sky and real pure rain to the Dessians for a short time. Turanchoks decides to take extreme measures. Using the only remaining clone control center, he decides to blow up the Astra using Niya. Rakan realizes that Turanchox, who has placed his headquarters in the former Glan Institute, has made it to the clone control center. Hesitating earlier, actually betraying Glan for fear of harming his career, now Rakan is ready to give his life to save Dessa. In addition, Rakan is concerned about the fate of Niya, he was the donor of biomaterial for clones of Glan, Niya is biologically his daughter.

When meeting with Turanchoks, Rakan asks him not to interfere with the earthlings, but does not find sympathy. Turanchox shows Rakan the control center and summons Niya to carry a powerful bracelet bomb onto the Astra. Rakan tries to prevent this, but one of Turanchox's servants mortally wounds him. The dying Rakan decides to destroy Turanchoks and, with his last strength, releases Glan's last brainchild from the institute's secret laboratory - biomass (material for future generations of the population of Dessa). Biomass is extremely aggressive and spreads instantly, devouring organic matter.

At this time, Niya goes to the Astra, obeying the commands of Turanchoks. Hope stops her, but Torquay, following on Niya's heels, shoots Hope. Seeing her death, Niya overcomes the "call of Glan" and throws out a bomb. Biomass quickly fills the Glan Institute, in the depths of which Rakan and Turanchoks die, and breaks out. This is disastrous for the entire planet, but Niya, using her superpowers, tames the biomass. Together with the Astra astronauts, Niya gives biomass a development program - water and grains. Thanks to this program, the biomass is transformed into different plants and trees. Planet Dessa is beginning to take on nature again and a return to environmentally friendly life.

In the final, the Astra crew, having completed its task of preliminary cleaning of Dessa, is preparing to return home. Saying goodbye to Niya on the field with planting young greenery, Stepan asks her to return to Earth with him, but Niya refuses - she takes a mental "cast" from Stepan's face, leaving his image in her memory. She now knows exactly her purpose - to establish normal life on their home planet.

New movie version

Frame from the film "Through hardships to the stars" (new version, 2001). Cosmodrome.

In 2001, the director's son Nikolai Viktorov released a revised version of the film. The image was digitally processed, color restored, some special effects were reworked, a completely new sound track was recorded in Dolby Digital format. The duration of the film has been brought into line with the standards of modern film distribution, as a result it has been reduced by 20 minutes. According to the authors, in the revised version, the extended episodes were reduced, which reduced the dynamics of the film, and episodes that carried Soviet ideological overtones were thrown out. AT new version In particular, shots of starships hovering in the clouds above the spaceport (the landing site exactly copies the famous "glass" of Sheremetyevo-1 airport), shots of the ship from Dessa "Gaia" hanging in outer space were added to the film.

Kir Bulychev wrote: “When the film was being shot, Richard had the idea to write “All the shots of the dead planet Dessa were filmed on Earth today” instead of the word “end”. It’s a pity that Goskino got scared, and the picture ends as usual.” Only in the new version of the film in the end credits can we see the phrase: "All the frames of the dying planet Dessa were filmed on planet Earth."

Almost the entire film was cut, especially the first series "suffered". The following scenes have been drastically cut:

"Niya is an Artificial Human" (1 episode)

  • Meeting of the commission on contacts at the quarantine near-Earth station, which determined the fate of Niya (00:06:30).
  • Petr Petrovich's mentions of the earthly adept of cloning Zagorsky (00:07:58; 00:20:57)
  • Niya sneezes at the Lebedevs' house during the television broadcast of the Commission on Contacts (00:08:04)
  • The episode with branzulite, which Sergey brought to Stepan from the planet Senik (00:13:53).
  • Maria Pavlovna's conversation with the robot Glasha about Niya (00:21:01).
  • The scene of making contact with Niya in Sergey's office (00:21:20)
  • Niya’s quick somersaults on the grass and Glasha’s dissatisfaction with the mess in the house: “If I had seen, I would not have allowed this disgrace!” (00:22:54; 00:24:12)
  • Episode on the beach about the moral standards of earthlings and the sight of naked Niya (00:36:45)
  • Part of the conversation between Sergey and Nadezhda about the "obedience center" (00:37:34)
  • Dialogue between Stepan and exobiologist Klimov about the significance of the work of the Astra crew (00:59:25)
"Angels of Space" (episode 2)
  • Barmaley and Stepan's visit to Niya's laboratory after she regains consciousness (00:02:10)
  • Report by Ivanova and Klimov on the study of Dessa to Dreyer with a video sequence of general plans of the empty corridors of the Astra (00:22:54)
  • The final part of the meeting of earthlings before the first phase of cleaning (tunnel absorption) (00:30:05)

It is no secret that the composer Alexei Rybnikov partially used the same musical themes for the opera Juno and Avos and the film Through Hardships to the Stars. In the new version, most of the themes were replaced by the music of Dmitry Rybnikov, the son of Alexei Lvovich. However, the main theme of the new version is the so-called "Thunderstorm" theme, written by Alexei Rybnikov exclusively for "Thorns". In addition, both versions of the film begin with the well-known theme "Light of the Stars", in the new version the arrangement is only slightly changed.

Data

"Through hardships to the stars" - Glan Institute against the backdrop of landscapes in the vicinity of Isfara
  • For the role of Niya, not an actress was invited, but a fashion model Elena Metelkina.
  • Initially, it was planned to shoot the alien completely bald, but because of the criticism of the officials from the State Film Agency, they had to make short white wigs for all the clones.
  • Mannequins, who "played" the role of clones who died on Gaia, were made from a plaster cast of Metelkina, filling it with liquid foam.
  • Exploration of the destroyed alien ship filmed in the scenery installed at the bottom of the pool of the Yalta Hotel.
  • Some of the space scenes were filmed underwater, using "hydroweightlessness" to mimic the real thing.
  • The film was supposed to show a flyer - a device that lowers Niya and Sergey Lebedev from orbit directly to his house on the landing site. But there was not enough budget for this vehicle, I had to show how Sergey and Niya get off to the site, but it is not clear from where. Also, in the scene when Stepan Lebedev asks Nadezhda for permission to "ride", he goes behind the bushes, where an ordinary car is visible.
  • Barmaley's robot was supposed to be made of metal. But the props master welded the first construction from iron buckets, ignoring the director's sketches, and Viktorov rejected it. There was no time or money left for another, and the robot was made inflatable.
  • In the episode where Niya undresses on the beach, it was originally intended to show that the heroine is missing a navel. The party authorities considered such a scene unacceptable in Soviet cinema. For the sake of saving the scene, I had to invent a dialogue about " moral standards earthlings."
  • The Southern Cross Plateau was filmed near Bakhchisarai in the cave city of Chufut-Kale.
  • The role of one of the archaeologists on the Southern Cross plateau was played by the director's son Nikolai Viktorov, who later became the director of the New version of Thorn.
  • On the information board of the spaceport, you can see the name of the starship Zarya and its destination - Alpha Cassiopeia. This starship is apparently named after the starship "Zarya" from another film by Richard Viktorov: "Moscow - Cassiopeia".
  • Views of the dying planet Dessa were filmed in Tajikistan, in the vicinity of an abandoned oil refinery near the city of Isfara. Before that, it was planned to shoot the film of Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker" there, but no place was found to accommodate the film crew, and the shooting was moved to Estonia. The unusual view of the landscapes was obtained through the use of technical spectrozonal film "SN-6M", one of the emulsion layers of which is light-sensitive to infrared radiation.
  • The underground structures of Dessa were filmed in the cellars of Solyanka.
  • The all-terrain vehicle, on which earthlings explore Dessa, was made at the Yalta film studio from an army tracked armored personnel carrier and aircraft parts. The biomass, consisting of fire-fighting foam and flour, was also filmed there, and the scuba divers swimming in this mixture created a visual effect of the live seething of the mass.

How to understand per aspera ad astra?

Oksana Fedyuk

Meaning - through difficulties to a high goal.

The phrase came to us from ancient rome- Per aspera ad Astra (Latin). Its author is Lucius Annei Seneca (4 BC - 65, ancient Roman philosopher, poet and statesman).

The word "thorns" means - 1. Any prickly plant. Such plants. 2. A separate thorn, thorn, needle of such a plant ( Dictionary D. N. Ushakova, 1935-1940).

The word "thorns" was formed from the plant Thorn, blackthorn, or prickly plum (lat. Prunus spinosa) - a type of small prickly shrubs of the subfamily Plum (Prunoideae) of the Rosaceae family.

In turn, "Thorny" was formed from "thorns".

Accordingly, the expression "through thorns to the stars" is figurative of overcoming the path strewn with thorns to a high goal (stars).

The meaning of this tattoo

Dolphin

scorpion looking for the path to the stars (((((((
The navigation star or the wind rose is an ancient, and yet not outdated tattoo, a motif known a century ago. The stars in the sky often served as a guide for sailors, especially the Northern, or Polaris, in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Southern Cross in the Southern. Sailors tattooed their navigational stars because they relied on them: their lives depended on the stars, they were supposed to show the way home. The sailors were very superstitious people and hoped that their star-shaped tattoos would serve as an amulet for a prosperous journey. Around the same time, the starfish began to appear on compasses. At a later time, such stars began to symbolize life path, its search. They began to be made by those who wanted not to stray from the chosen path. Thus, the star became a guiding one - its image helped not to stray from the chosen path when a person is lost or scared. Later, such stars became symbols of awards, high encouragement, and a sign of distinction.

How to choose a font?

"I'll bend, but I won't break"
"God feeds the ravens"

Where is the best place to get a tattoo

When the inscription for the tattoo is chosen, a fair question arises: where will it look best? Hide or not? How to arrange long text so that it is beautiful?

"We hope in God"
"I wish you success"
"Great things start small"

  • The belly as a place for a tattoo is not the best solution. During pregnancy or when gaining weight, the inscription may be distorted. The rule also applies to the femoral zone.

"Waiting for a Protector"
  • The leg is also open to the creativity of the tattoo artist. On the top of the foot, the image does not look vulgar, it can be easily hidden from others. On the lower leg, pain is intensified, as there are many nerve endings.
  • It is also important to consider that tattoos do not stick on the surface of the foot that is in contact with the floor and on the palms.
  • Very painful parts of the body - chest and chest (for girls), sacrum (for guys), shoulder blades, elbows, armpits and perineum.

"And I'm in Arcadia"
"From sea to sea"
"Through the thorns to the stars"

Look stylish, original and beautiful if you choose the right font
« I will always be the keeper"

Advice! T carefully check the spelling of each letter.

Elvira, 32 years old: At the age of 22, I was hit by a car, and I was on the verge of death. Long-term rehabilitation, the love of relatives and the desire to live put me on my feet. Since then, I have had the inscription Memento mori on my shoulder. When it's hard for me, the tattoo reminds me of the value of life and gives me the strength to pull myself together. Literal translation: "Remember death."

The tattoo on the back of the thigh will be visible only in the summer

Margarita, 28 years old: I always thought that I was lucky in life. Therefore, under my chest I have a small inscription Audaces fortuna juvat, which is significant for me - luck accompanies the brave. Never regretted getting a tattoo. Rather than stuffing a drawing on the floor of the body, it is better to choose a short but accurate saying that characterizes a person.

Alexandra, 30 years old: I have been tattooing for about five years. Lately, Latin inscriptions have been in great demand, and I understand why. Their meaning is important to the owner. It becomes a real talisman for a person.

Summarizing what has been said, we can conclude that people put inscriptions on the body that tell about the character of a person.

Advice! If you want to emphasize individuality and intelligence, choose Latin inscriptions from a variety of tattoos.
